Summary: Jana goes out on a hot day and end up melting. Then, a rat slurps her up like a slushie!

Jana was a red-headed a coyote known who had a tendency of getting herself into troublesome situations. On this hot summer day, she was going to be in her worst predicament yet. . .

She whistled as she walked down the street, wiping her forehead as the sun beat down onto her. “Goodness, it’s getting /really/ hot all of a sudden,” she noticed. “It’s almost hot enough to melt, isn’t it? Gosh. . .”

Laughing to herself at this observation, the coyote continued forward. Melting didn’t happen at /this/ temperature—surely, it wasn’t hot enough for that, she thought! Unfortunately, the weather was going to prove her very, very wrong.

Jana whistled to herself, continuing on the sidewalk, ready to enjoy more of the heat. But after a while, she noticed her walking seemed to be /sticky/, like gum had stuck to the bottom of her sandals. “Oh, that’s just great,” she muttered, looking down. “I’ll bet some dumb-butt littered the sidewalk, and now /I’m/ paying the price. . .”

She looked down and lifted one shoe, but saw no gum. Confused, she put her foot back down—and that’s when she noticed her toes and shoe. They were both stretched out and drippy, as if they were turning into liquid. Wait, was she really. . .?

“Crap, it can’t be!” the coyote exclaimed. Oh, but it was, and before her eyes, her shoes and feet began to melt faster, converting into a more liquid form at a rather amazing speed. “I gotta get a cold drink so I can reverse this!” she told herself, remembering the process that had to be taken. “Before it’s too late, and I turn into a puddle!”

Jana thought frantically as her calves began getting drippy and wet. She hadn’t brought water from the house, as she didn’t think the trip would take very long or be too troublesome—her lack of planning had bitten her in the butt this time! So she would have to get a cold beverage somewhere else, cool off another way.

The coyote looked around at her immediate surroundings, trying to spot something. There was a shoe store at her right, next to a sporting equipment place, and—ah ha! Between the two was a vending machine, loaded with water, soda, and energy drinks! She /had/ brought her purse with her just in case, so she could use her phone’s InstaPay to get a beverage!

And so, Jana put all her efforts toward marching to the vending machine, intent on reaching it before it was too late.

She was melting fast, but tried to ignore that and just focus on going forward. Her thighs were reduced to liquid as she went, melting down more and more, joining the pile of moving liquid that was her body now. But she /was/ making progress, so that was something. Just a little more, a little more—there!

Jana finally reached the vending machine! The coyote got her phone from her purse, her now-sticky fingers grasping at it tightly, pulled up the InstaPay app, and triumphantly reached out toward the scanner of the machine.

But there was a problem: she was far too short to reach it! Even when the coyote stretched her arm as far as she could manage, she was still a few inches away from the device! “Oh no. . . I lost too much height!” she groaned. “Now I’m going to be stuck down here. . . Drat!” Even while saying this, the desperate canine did a few more attempts, but each just hammered home how out of reach the scanner was. So, with a sigh, she gave up, and submitted to the melting. Now, the only way she would get back to normal was if somebody helped her. . .

She continued turning to liquid. The process went even faster now, thanks to the sun’s heat increasing: the rest of her body rapidly converted to liquid, dripping and turning slimy as she drooped into the puddle. Soon, she was more liquid than solid, and a blink later, only her head was left still intact!

And that was just about it: Jana was now a massive liquid puddle! Well, except for her head, of course—but it was going fast. Soon, she still had a /little/ bit of it left before it, too, would be solid no longer.

The coyote saw a shadow come over her, and turned around, startled by the arrival of someone new. Above her, a Norway Rat stood, and he was also starting to melt just a little bit, his feet becoming slimy instead of solid.

"Thank goodness!" Jana exclaimed. “Hey, can you get me a drink from the vending machine so I can get back to normal? I promise I’ll get you a drink too, so you don’t melt!”

The rat looked down at her, and a mischievous grin came onto his face. “Now why would I pay for a drink,” he asked, “when I have a free slushie right here, hmm?”

“Slushie?” the coyote asked, frowning. “Where?”

The rat giggled, and reached into his pocket. He pulled out some leftover ketchup packets, napkins, and straws; he took one of the latter, and put the other items back. “Right down there, of course!” he replied, pointing right at /her/! “Mmm, I’m gonna enjoy this nice drink! You’re really going to stave off the heat, so thanks!”

“Come on, please!” Jana pleaded. “Reconsider, won’t you?”

“Nah,” the rat told her, shrugging. “now, down you go~!”

He brought the straw to the edge of the puddle, where her legs were, and began to suck her inside.

It was a strange feeling, being liquid, but being /swallowed/ as liquid was even stranger. Her fluid body stretched out and went inside the rat’s hot digestive tract, getting sucked inside of his gut with barely any effort. Jana couldn’t even resist—she had no arms or legs! So she was helpless as she was completely and utterly devoured, bit by bit.

It happened so fast. And soon enough, the last of her was swallowed down, sucked easily into the rat’s throat. It soon joined the rest of her inside of his belly.

“Mmmm!” the rat exclaimed, patting his now-huge gut. It had expanded quite a bit thanks to the coyote inside, and he had also stopped the melting completely. “You were a nice sweet treat in this summer heat—truly /delicious/! Thanks for stopping the melting, lady!”

He patted his belly. “I should do this more often. Perhaps there are some other melted slush puddles around here I can eat—mmm, that would be delicious! But first, I’ll pick up a soda for later. . .”

Inside his gut, Jana was swirling about, her liquid form tossing and turning around the grumbling, hungry belly. Since she’d known she wouldn’t be eaten, she hadn’t taken any kind of supplements to help with the process—which meant she would be here a while, and reformation would take time.

Inwardly, the coyote let out an impatient groan. Ooo, how she wanted to tell off that stupid rat off! But she wouldn’t be able to until reformation occurred. . . So she would just have to wait until digestion occurred.

And so, Jana sloshed about in the gut as the rat walked off, looking for more people to drink.
