Though you'd think they would make a system to help revive the micros or something, or else they'd go extinct long ago....

Larger families, an increased development time thanks to their smaller stature, not taking as much space, and not requiring as many resources to sustain themselves with are all factors that help maintain the micro population at a stable level alongside their bigger counterparts.
