This strikes me as a very specialized job. You'd need a LOT of practice keeping you balance on a twitching tongue. Not just anyone could do it, making you probably valuable enough to avoid ingestion...

Still, I'd tie some sort of safety harness around a canine tooth, just in case the unthinkable happens.
