Being a young Apex pred himself, Ash can swallow large preys with no problem. The hard part usually comes later, when he actually has to let them back out. Among preds, this is known as the "prey's revenge" : when the big guy you digested to death without a second thought a couple of days ago now makes you feel like you're fighting for your life.

Sure, they're a broken mess by then, but it still doesn't make shitting out bones-filled logs thicker than your own thigh any less unpleasant.

Oh well... It'll get better eventually. After all, it's just a matter of practice~

Don't worry, I haven't given up on completing this pic, I just got distracted with a few other projects. I'll get back to it soon enough but, in the meantime, I figured that I might as well share the linework for Ashton now that I completed the general linework for him~

I still have to experiment a bit with the design of his tail, though; obviously, his fur patterns are supposed to be a mix between the color and patterns of a maned wolf's fur and a spotted hyena's fur, and I'm not sure yet whether or not the tail patterns depicted here are going to stick or if I'm going to alter them for the final release.
