That's how many words this came out to when I finished it. I had zero intent of making it this long, but it is what it is, I guess. I'm pretty happy with it overall- I got to do a concept I'd wanted to for a while, and I felt like I did a little better job making the characters feel like themselves than I have before. This is part 1 of 3; just the first 5479 words. The second part is a bit shorter, and the third a bit longer.

Lamia's make great preds, but being a weirdo who prefers seeing the expected dynamic get flipped on its head, I decided to write this story instead. What will Nimi go after next? Sorry for the crazy long gap. I've been pretty busy the last three months, but I think the writing process is getting a little better on my end. We'll see if I can keep up any sort of regularity.
