- General Eaglesworth : "Tiamat! Status report."
- Beta : "The threat has been successfully eliminated."
- General Eaglesworth : "Are you positive ? We are still picking up its vitals."

- Tartarus Operative : "Sir ! We just registered a minor seismic activity on her position!"
- General Eaglesworth : "I guess the specimen just hit her stomach. Tiamat, did you remember to collect a tissue sample before you... Eliminated the threat?"
- Gamma : "Of course I have!"
- General Eaglesworth : "Good job. Make it back to the base as soon as you can. Eaglesworth, over and out."
- Tartarus Operative : General ? The hostile monster just flatlined."

I've been feeling in a monster mood for the past two days, and it inspired me to draw a new pic of Tiamat, my Kaiju OC ! And while this pic isn't the first time she's been depicted swallowing a hostile monster whole, this is the first time I'm the one depicting her doing so.
For the record, since I haven't given much info about her setting yet; Tiamat is one of the few unambiguously heroic Kaijus on Earth. She "works" for the North-American division of Tartarus, a worldwide organization that monitors Kaiju activity on Earth and takes action whenever needed to eliminate monster-related threats.
Obviously, having an Empire State Building-sized space wyvern as an ally is a massive advantage, the main downside being that, well, she has to eat. Given the toll her appetite would put on available food ressources, the most practical solution is that, most of the time, she deals the killing blow to hostile monsters by swallowing them alive and letting her bodily fuctions take care of the rest. It keeps her fed and it avoids putting a strain on the economy and/or the ecosystem, but obviously, it also prevents Tartarus scientists from studying the corpses of any monster she defeats, outside of whatever's left of them once they reach the... Opposite end of her digestive tract.
Hence why she's typically instructed to collect "tissue samples" (read : tear one of the enemy monster's limbs off) when she's sent off to destroy a threat. It's not as good as having a full body to study, but hey, it's the next best thing.

She looks good.
Maybe based on the drawing she is photographed on the reason she is friendly is she likes to be in the spotlight and getting famous?

Actually, when the unmanned spacecraft carrying her egg first arrived on Earth, it was immediately investigated by a Tartarus commando led by the general who intervenes in the dialogue above; her egg hatched while he was examining it and she imprinted on him, which caused her to perceive him as a father figure and develop a fondness for humans in general.
But she does appreciate the positive attention, yes :3
