- "Please, miss Steele, don't do this! They-they offered me a lot of money! I needed it to-"
- "I do not want to know, Johnson. You have just been demoted to "food", and this is final."
- "No! No! Oh, God, no! Please! I can make it up to you! I can make it up to the company! I-"
- "Johnson, the only way you can redeem yourself now is by keeping quiet, letting me do my work, and providing me with the nutrients my body needs."
- No! No!! NOOOOOOO-"

The ex-employee's scream echoed inside his former boss' neck as she sent him down in a single, mighty gulp, and became muffled as the hole at the base of her throat locked shut to prevent any attempt to climb back out.

- "Ahhh... Do not worry, Johnson. My digestive tract has been augmented in such a way that it can utterly destroy even the most heavily-augmented cyborgs. And since your body is entirely organic, well... When my stomach gets to work, you'll be dead before you even know it!"

Despite being a Giraffe, and therefore a "prey species", Devorah Steele is just as cold and ruthless as you can expect a high-ranking cyberpunk corpo executive to be. After all... You have to be kind of a sadistic piece of work to include a see-through throat as part of your body modifications just for the sake of putting on a show when you swallow your terrified preys for everyone to see, and there is a reason why she got the nickname of "Debby Steelheart".

As you can probably guess, she's the same character from this sketch, except she has a little more (synthetic) skin on her frame this time around. I elaborated on her background a bit and decided to make her kind of a rework of Raphaëlle, by giving her a similar design and making her a descendant of my previous Giraffe OC. Not sure if I'll ever draw Raphaëlle again, but Devorah is definitely here to stay~
