A taunting display of where your friend has gone. Their wriggling body thrashing around, bulging out the owl's throat as he casually gapes his jaws and almost seems to exhale their cries for help. They're already past the point of no return, but you still feel like they could be rescued. All you'd have to do is reach in and grab them...and not be swallowed down yourself. The owl is almost waiting for you to dare to try.
Or a teasing display of where you'll be going. Him showing off the elasticity of his throat, showing how easily he could swallow your friend and you down. An invitation to join them before they end up in his belly all alone. An offer to be his lunch, your last words belched up before you'd gurgle into more of that owl fat that'd be muffling your movements. The most comfy and luxuriant stomach you could be digesting in. He's just waiting to show you heaven.
Or both! Really, with an owl, a display like that can mean a ton of things. x3 One thing's for certain! If you aren't watching out for owls, you very well could have this sort of view before you know it. Or you might be the one wriggling around in his throat. :3
