Deployed for clean up at Mount Natagumo, Kochou Shinobu is a pillar of Demon Slaying. A Hashira, as they're known. This role is important as Shinobu knows it's absolutely mandatory to rid any and all demons from this world to protect humanity. Having just saved a rookie from a horrifying transformation poison, Shinobu travels deeper within the forest and has caught glimpse of a demon thinking she can get away with a more blatant affair. Shinobu tackles down the white-haired spider girl after she had cocooned another rookie within her web.

"Do you think we could be friends?"

What a strange question. The fact she would ask something so tremendously off-kilter like that with a smile on her face. Then again, she is rather small. The spider demon hopes she can take advantage of this courtesy. "Y-yes! Of course!"

"Then... Can you tell me how many people have you murdered?" Shinobu's voice is a chilling tone. It's horrifying, even with how sweet she sounds the demon knows she can't be honest. Her one hope to survive is to lie. "Not many... Less than 10, really!"

"Then what's with all these cocoons? They all seem to be far gone. And there's so many of them..." It's over. She's completely aware of the girl's sins. You really can't lie to a professional Demon Hunter, the only option is... to fight? With the sudden weakness in her limbs, the spider demon is suddenly starting to feel lethargic. Did she even notice her arm was jabbed with the edgeless sword? "Well, for all you have eaten, they can return to being human with me. Think of this as a way to repent. Haaah..."

In spite of her small stature, the bug-eyed woman seems to be a horrifyingly competent in being able to devour even the spider girl whole. Something to even terrify a demon is the perfect definition of what it means to be a Hashira. Swallowing, gnawing, Shinobu treats this specific demon with little respect to vent her anger with wrong again. You really can't trust anything but your own experiences. Knowing for certain things will never change and companionship with these monsters is utterly meaningless. "You shouldn't last long in there... The wisteria I've been ingesting will make sure of that." The breathy, airy voice of the short woman terrifies the demon to no end. Even if she's a murderous monster, at her rotten heart she's still a young girl. One who has met a terrible fate and knows as much.

Pain. It itches. The burning. It hurts. The spider demon now begins to realize and understand what she's done to others. So much pain. She scratches. She cries. This monster meets a completely ironic fate, her arm twitching and jittering from the wisteria poison from earlier. While the inside is a hellish nightmare, the outside is just a short little predator standing elegantly with a smile on her face. A quick twist of her foot has her launch her heavy little form upward to float down. A necessary movement to relax her body while she quickly digests the monster, enjoying her anger. "We really could have been friends, you know...?"

Eventually, the butterfly lands back to her feet, her stomach being a rounded swell rather than a mobile sack. As the small woman waddles away with her stomach jostling the melted remains of the spider girl, a pang in her head begins to beat as Shinobu moans from the pain. "Urff... I hope I can tell Mitsuri about how effective this is..." she mumbles to herself, wincing as one eye is shut tightly from the headache and the other blackened-sclera colored eye is trying to focus on the forest before her as she goes to continue her hunt. There's another demon nearby, after all...
