so with the latest centauress comic being relased, the next comic is on the works, but i wanted to ask you something, since the next comics includes hololive EN characters, such as "gura, kiara, calli, etc" do you think i might get in trouble if i sell these comics as a parody? or do you preefer for this comic has their own original character with certain look alike with some hololive girls
please let me know in the comment box down below
as for the comic with the centauress, what do you think about the comic, do you like it? if you havent buy it yet you can do so here:

To be honest, I don't think it matters much practically speaking, because this is a recent comic that if it gets famous, it will only be with a certain group of people that share a very niche fetish, so I highly doubt someone from Hololive will find out about it, unless a brain dead moron snitches on you, which again, the situation will just be weird, but they will most likely ask you to take down the comic , which then you can reupload with "different characters". If you wanna play safe, just take their characters and twist a few things in their desing and name, although I don't think this would be really necessary, but I'm not the one planning on risking my neck with legal actions by having non-authorised use of their licensed models and having their head cut off by their legions of lawyers, so do whatever you want.

I don't think it's a problem tbh there are so many porn parodies out there already without issue. You should go for it

Whenever you use copyrighted characters that don't belong to you you are breaking copyright law. But the party that owns the characters needs to enforce that law, so a lot of smaller projects skirt around the issue entirely just because they don't get discovered by the copyright holder, also there are very few companies that care about projects that aren't for-profit so public fan art tends to be left alone. However, even if your project was discovered by the copyright holder the most that would happen is that you would receive a cease and desist notice, and then you would take down the comic.

This is sort of the case. They do not skirt around the law because they are not discovered. companies know how to use search engines.
It is just a lot of the time it is not worth doing so. Taking down fanart can easily harm your own fan base.

I know, but my comment was already sort of long and convoluted.

this is a really fun idea but yeah I'd play it safe and use look alikes if you're looking to sell. Anyone who makes vore content with them, whether on ekas or elsewhere, has the content free for a reason.
Posted by Emptyghost 1 year ago Report
This is false. There are people who have made the content not free.
They just don't stand out a lot because most the content you see is free. naturally given the fact you are seeing it without paying.

I don't believe there's a 100% safe way to sell art of a copyrighted character (or in this case, the design of specific Hololive characters). It's uncertain how likely it is for them to discover it, let alone legally pursue it, but there would always be the risk.
It would probably be safer to do look-alikes, and I think it would definitely be cute either way.

The only safe way to sell copyrighted content is to seek permission. And to look at the pre-existing terms and conditions.
My hunch, before I even LOOK at this. Is selling copyrighted work without permission, is asking to become a target for a lawsuit. Which can easily become unaffordable to your time and sanity.

I think if it's paid for it's gonna go under copyright but if it's just released as a fan project then it'll be fine. It's like the games they made. All are free and if they were paid for they wouldn't last very long

To put it into perspective, people already make paid stuff of other popular franchises. Rwby, Resident Evil, Pokemon, etc for ages and I don't remember ever seeing anything being S&D'd before, especially in the vore sphere so I don't really see how this is any diffrent. I've also seen plenty of non-vore Hololive work and have never heard of them having any problems.

Hololive wise, your better off erring on the side of caution and have it be a free parody.
As an aside. If I ever get into it and stars align. Might write a fan story about Gawr Guts and Calliope one day.

I’d say, err on the side of caution and for a paid comic do parody with your own distinct (but similar) characters. You can if you wanted to still do the specific hololive characters do a free doujinshi type deal or what have you, but better safer than sorry, because hololive likely have a lot more lawyers and money to physically throw at you, than you have to shield from anything if they catch wind of profiting off their property

I doubt you’ll get in trouble for parody , however I do love when creators do their original characters

Plenty people here sell stuff using copyrighted characters (nyte is a good example). i don't know copyright law so no idea if a porn parody would fall under a legal use case, but if other people do it I don't see why you couldn't.

I would be very interested in a HoloEn comic though

I don't know about legal laws but I wouldn't sell profit off someone else's OC.
Posted by okigetit 1 year ago Report
It's not like these are the characters of a small time artist or something, I think calling them OC's is a bit of a stretch.
Posted by okigetit 1 year ago Report
I'm seeing comments talking about legal reproduction's and all that, let's be realistic here, no one's going to get sued over a vore comic, it just won't happen. Like Rat_Guy said the most that could happen would be a cease and desist and again, I've never seen a fan project of any kind receive something like that unless we're talking about Nintendo but they seem to be the odd ball in these sorts of situations. I really don't think it's as big a deal as it's been made out to be.
Posted by Whelt 1 year ago Report
These comments are missing the simple fact that no one is going to truly care about a small time fan artist selling a comic, it's not worth going after and tons of artists sell pictures and comics of copyrighted content all the time with no issue. It's really not going to be a problem.

Damn auto correct, meant legal repercussions.

Love the expressions here. I’m not sure if selling them would be a big deal, other nsfw artists seem to do that all the time.

Use the Hololive characters you’ll be fine.
Posted by HiddenStar 1 year ago Report
Seriously, it’s not going to be worth it for them to try and Cease and Desist you over this. You’ll be fine.

thanks! but now i have another little problem, its seems that some of my followers dont like the idea of me using these characters since is like im gonna make vore based of someone else OC (even tho these characters dont belong to the the ppl who use them as avatars but more likely for the company itself) so im wondering, it would be better if i go with characters that have certain look alike but keeping it most likely oiriginal characters for these comics?
Posted by okigetit 1 year ago Report
I can't speak for everyone, but I see no problem with you using Hololive characters. TBH I'd like it more if you used them.
Posted by HiddenStar 1 year ago Report
I can’t speak for everyone either, but I would prefer if you used the Hololive characters.
