The territory of the Snakemen is a wide area covering a lush impenetrable rainforest. While visitors are technically allowed, it's not recommended alone, even if you have been invited. This was not the case for this gross hairless cat thing, who has had an unhealthy obsession with one of the priestess's of this land, waltzing right into her temple with a proclaimation of love. Not that she even listened to him before coiling him tight and showing him where all intruders go, right down deep into her guts.
