I hate to be a pest, but whatever happened to the Protection stories?

In short, it's a tough headspace to occupy. Protection parts 1-5 are each over ten years old at this point(!!), and those ten years have been excruciatingly turbulent for me personally. Breaking up with my long-time partner, getting stalked, learning to stand up for myself, beginning my gender transition, losing my relationships with most of my friends and family, starting again with a new circle of friends, burning out and losing jobs, making plans to move internationally, COVID, moving to the other side of the continental US.

While I did make an attempt to bring them back two years ago with a Part 6, I honestly think I ended up leading myself into a place where I'm not sure who the characters are or how to continue with them. I'm no longer the person who created those characters, and my brain doesn't work nearly as well as it did back then.

Perhaps someday they'll be rebooted in some form or another, but no promises on that. Until and unless that happens (and, let's be real, even after that happens, if it should happen), the existing ones remain available on my gallery and on my website.

I'm glad to hear they touched you enough to be curious about them, though!
