I've written Christmas stories. I've written Thanksgiving stories. I've written Halloween stories. I few years ago I decided to write an Easter story.

I sat down to write what I thought was going to be a cute, funny little story. Now, if writing a story and rasing children have anything at all in common then it's the fact that you never really know ahead of time what they'll be like when they are all grown up. They might turn out to be something far different than you could have ever imagined. My cute, funny little Easter story turned out to actually be a dark and violent Easter story.

Now, procrastinator that I am, I decided to write an Easter story on the Saturday night before Easter. By the time that I was finished with it I wasn't really in a mood for proof-reading, spellchecking, uploading, tagging, etc. so my Easter story fell by the wayside until the following Easter when I remembered that I had an Easter story waiting to upload.

Unfortunately, I remembered that about a week after Easter.

So here's that long-delayed, extremely gory Easter story in all its glory. I'd advise checking the tags before you dive in.
