“Well, look who it is! It’s Lexa and her harem.” One of the ratboys said crudely. She recognized his voice too, a boy from her school.

The four girls have stumbled into an actual fight. Will their luck hold out?

I actually did roll dice to determine the outcomes of this one, which caused a few interesting details. There ended up being a lot more devouring happening this chapter, though expect the same tone to it as on halloween.

You can expect just one or two more chapters of this, followed by an epilogue.

The daughter of dragons and the arouthrope grappled and clawed at each other, broke away for a brief chase, then clashed again.

“Hah, looks like this time
you’re
the one getting eaten!”

“Not if I eat you first!” The exclamation was followed by a quick bite on the shoulder.

In the wake of Halloween, a lot of changes have occurred in Lexa and Ms. Brown's lives. And even more so for someone else, resulting in a stronger bond forming. Furthermore, something long awaited finally arrives... almost.

When I released my last story on Halloween I decided that I would do another one around Thanksgiving. Since I had some strong ideas, this one has an even stronger sense of continuity... and a stronger spotlight on something else. I also develop elements from...

In a house that tried to look unassuming, but didn't always manage it, a group of children had gathered to prepare for the night's festivities. The festivities were Halloween, and the house belonged to the matronly Ms. Melody Brown. Ms. Brown had chosen to dress up for the night as a witch – many of the other townsfolk suspected that a woman with her connections probably was a witch or something similar, but the black dress and hat was new.

To celebrate Halloween, I decided to return to an older series I've left alone for longer than I should (while I experimented with things that haven't panned out yet). So with that, it's time to check up on a certain daughter of dragons and how she's handling things.

Note that while I've tended to be a bit vague about her actual meals, this time I go into a bit more depth about what she's done so far, and how people feel about it. Also, some Halloween spookiness.

"Congratlations Gerna," the dark elf heard a voice from the dreamlike void around her. Looking around, she spotted a somewhat crumpled stack of papers. "You have been chosen... to *share* in this power." The voice was feminine, and much as she expected from a certain member of the pantheon. "You have 800 points to spend. Choose wisely..."

Our protagonist heads out into the wild. But it will take a while to even make it to her first waypoint. So, what will make an impression while the world is still new to her?

It's been a long time, but I feel like this was the major hump I had to deal with. With some of the critical setup done, the rest should flow much easier.

I try to make it seem like the world is a big, lived in place. Here's hoping that works out.

Something I commissioned from https://aryion.com/g4/user/Damnitshuge as a last minute 8/8 celebration.

Here we have Luna Ferre, protagonist of my Werewolf Isekai series, as the kind of predator her patron wants her to become. Will she? And is there anyone in particular the evil goddess is imagining her pawn has eaten?

Unfortunately, real life has been distracting me from continuing the story for months, but the next chapter is nearly complete. In the meantime, I...

The cause of this was one Luna Ferre, working woman currently on her day off. She'd decided to try doing something that she expected to cause a reaction like this, but wanted to see how bad the reaction would be, and whether it would counteract how go

He usually goes for Anime protagonists, though there were other times when things got complicated for him.

Unfortunately, we aren't likely to see him again for a long while. That's one of the problems with the Isekai format: that we seldom see what happens back in the original universe. I do actually plan to address that, but it will take a long time.

I get the feeling that Trucker Assassin Guy has some really interesting stories he could share. Does he normally go for anime protagonists or are werewolves his usual fare?

My name is Cece, young warrior of the Steppes. And I did not expect to wake up next to a wooded lake I'd never seen before.

I'd preferred the storyteller's tales about delving deep into dungeons and back over the ones about battles in the open. But I didn't need to be an expert to realize that this was nowhere near where I was. The trees were a completely different kind, for one thing.

While a new arrival appears on the other side of the Realms, Alyn faces a more even matchup...
(Also, she might be considering designing magical traps sometime in the future.)

Thank you for the feedback, it's very helpful.

Looking back, I got distracted from this because it was being slow to build up momentum. That should have changed once more progress was made by the characters and the world became more defined. And you're right, I wasn't that great at making the battle scenes interesting.

Still, I'm glad you found some enjoyment out of it. At some point, I may come back to it. But I have another project in the works at the moment.

IddlerItaler - 1 year ago

That's quite the level-up from clearing a couple of rats. Then again, hard to say she didn't deserve it from all she went through, and the first levels require little XP to climb.

The fight scene could have used more polish; perhaps cutting out some of the failed moves, or describing how those failed or succeeded, as that would add variance. The words "successfully" and "unsuccesfully" were overused, though I guess it fits the title.

The story is old and you said you've paused it for now, but despite my criticism I found it enjoyable to see the timid Alyn try to scrape by as a lvl 1 priestess in a hostile world and eventually manage to beat and eat one of the dire rats who would have previously preyed on her, making the leap to lvl 3 and evolving into something adventurers might want in their party.

Also the PoV of the rat who had devoured her piqued my curiosity.

I woke up staring up at an alien sky, of flowing red and dark. It took a few seconds for the wrongness of this to set in, but when I was able to look around at the rest of my surroundings there was nothing to take comfort in.

I found myself lying on a small cliff jutting out of a mountain, part of a large range. I had never been in such a place before, though I had heard tales from adventurers who dropped by for the Priest's aid - while waiting for the divine spells to be prepared, some

Rats, she couldn't get away! Interesting style, both the gamification and the first person narration.

The lands of Terresta, to the far north, were known to be a bit… different. Only one of it’s nearest neighbors had what many considered a “conventional” pokemon league (the other was still trying to heal the scars from a legendary clash). However, journeying with pokemon was still an important part of Terresta’s culture. Even if evil forces had seized territory, that was unlikely to change.

Why thank you. I really should do more with this.

I've seen those words used so often, but very seldom a rebuttal. Even when the person saying them clearly didn't believe it themself. So I decided to play around with that if no one else would.

Oooh, ooooh. Pokemon gaining an anthro form and speech while trainers are in their bellies? I love this!

"You don’t become part of me, you disappear and I profit from that. Last one I heard spreading that nonsense was a Furret trying to justify himself"

Hahaha, I like this rattata. Indeed "Become a part of me" and such are often bullshit euphemisms, even if some preys and preds might legitly see it that way.

I might do some more with this setting at some point, but I can't say when.

Really good starter (series?). Well paced and good background. Only criticism I got is difficulty separating past and present conversations. The sister's lines are clearly separated from each other. Protagonist is more difficult to tell which sister she is talking to.
