At the risk of my own personal safety, I have decided to document the day to day life of one of The Tri-Isle's most notorious monsters: Azul Larouche. I snuck into Hell's Cradle with a crate's worth of Invisibility Potions in my bags to try and get a glimpse of how she spends her days.
So, how DOES Azul spend most of her days? That's an easy one, she spends most of her time either eating her stupid minions or sleeping. Or in some cases, eating them WHILE sleeping if they're stupid...

I feel the coloring on the blade of her sword and her skirt came out a little hazy, but otherwise she looks great.

Yup. Although, when your opponent is one of the four Great Spirits, there's not much you CAN do but lay down your weapon and pray they're not hungry.
This is pretty tame compared to the Daydream I had that inspired the series. I actually came up with the concept of the Air Spirit first, but it's too hard to draw someone suddenly disappearing due to invisible god-level spirit attack.

The Paint Devourer, Tsukiyo's Special Ability, is a Rainbow Paint Demon Special. Using her race's ability to Shapeshift, she Stretches her Arm to a far longer length than usual then morphs it into a large, Multicolored Snakelike Creature. The Devourer is several times larger than a normal person, which makes it easy for it to gulp up smaller enemies. She's also the only character to both attend the Blue Mage Academy and be a pureblooded monster. Since she's trapped in human form, the only thing she can change the color of is her hair. But she can temporarily shapeshift parts of her body to use her various racial abilities (Like the Paint Devourer, which I'm still struggling to draw)

You did a great job on her kimono there, Ty. Her obi has really got her cinched in there.
I’ve seen a few in person at various anime conventions and cultural festivals, so yeah... you got it. Normally they wrap all the way up to the neck – showing any cleavage at all is a huge no-no – but it’s your own style for that. =)
And your detail on the little creases and crinkles in the material are nicely subtle. =)

Hot. Molten. But it's a small price to pay for how powerful the artifact is becoming in my head. The thing can see through illusions (such as invisibility or clone spells), analyze enemies for weaknesses... it's bananas!

A quick bit of lore: Most Dungeon's in Arkadia are in fact Labyrinths built to imprison the Bosses of said dungeon. Hell's Cradle (Azul's Dungeon) is not: Azul Ate the previous dungeon Boss and took up leadership of the area (Mostly because the rest of the monsters in the dungeon are too scared of her to make a move)

Not bad Ty, this is so cute. =D
But it looks like it’s a hard lead, like maybe it shouldn't be for outlining and more for a light shading effect. However, in the areas where you did do that - it's a nice job, like the pattern on her outfit, her hair, and the grip and guard of the sword.
That's a nice little flower-like design on her cuffs too. =)

Actually, at the academy the first spell they teach you is one to reform yourself after being eaten. This is the 3rd of 3 Dungeoneering classes that Ver has failed out of by aimlessly wandering into a monster's stomach.

The form she uses for battles, Azul has to eat semi constantly to maintain her Naga form. Luckily for her, the dungeon she has become the boss of (Hell's Cradle) is Populated by an incredibly stupid tribe of Goblins, which she forces to fight with her.
As long as she has a stable source of energy she's able to use a large variety of Forbidden and Lost Magic, such as the Spirit Fire seen here.

Since her Naga Form takes up So much energy, in between battles she shapeshifts into a more humanoid figure. This way she can lead her minions in her dungeon without looking completely rediculous or burning all her energy before a tough fight.

The most Truthful answer I can give you is "I don't know yet", Mostly because I can't really decide on what it's going to do. Something to do with Analyzing Enemies for weakness/True Sight (being able to see through Concealment spells, that kind of thing.)

I think "Nice and Simple" needs to end up being my drawing style. When I go for Complex, I get frustrated and files get deleted. ;-;
