As for your comment...I'm...Not exactly sure what you mean. I know who Samus is, but I don't see how it would make much a difference, I mean, Samuses body has just as much Anatomy as my regular style, which the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Sonic is the total lack of proper Anatomy and a much more toony body than normal.
I mean, just jump on Google Images and search for Sonic the Hedgehog, and every picture you see will have limbs like noodles. Not sure where you're coming from exactly about it is all, feel free to clarify a bit further since I'm just not seeing the problem o.o
