Ah, summer! Is there a better time of year? When the sun warms the land with its gentle, yet fiery embrace and the wind blows off the ocean like a cool kiss? When people want nothing more than to ride the waves,
play volleyball at the beach, and shop endlessly at strip malls? When men and women alike wear a shocking lack of clothes, dressed in swim trunks and bikinis with an endless parade of butts, boobs, muscles, and thighs for every eye to feast one?

Hardly, and Connie Maheswaran is no exception. Just look at her! This Crystal Gem is clearly having the time of her life after a scrumptious frosty snacc. Perhaps her choice of attire, or lack thereof is questionable, but nobody can deny Connie isn't having a good time. The lunch may pinch in a spot or two, giving Connie indigestion, but ye gods the flavor! The richness of every bite! The raw, belly-filling pleasure! It's enough to make the mind melt!

Clearly Connie made the right decision.

Connie's lunch, on the other hand, is clearly not having the best day. But who cares? Star Sapphire was a big beach bully. She'd totally kick over sandcastles and hog the best tanning spots just to spite everyone. The best she can do now is lay back, relax, and digest for Connie and everyone else's sake.

For those familiar with Steven Universe or who follow LionMan, you may recognize this post. Much like many of my art posts, LionMan completed this commission a few months ago and I held off on posting it myself until now. As usual, I wanna avoid stealing views, comments, and possible clients from the artists I commission. Perhaps it's pedantic to reiterate this concern every time I do this, but I feel it crucial to pay respect to every artist I know.

In truth, however, I didn't commission this! Because surprise surprise! My friend Z3d was kind enough gift this instead! What a pal, what a great guy! Truly, it is a pleasure to know someone as kind, generous, and sweet as him. Where would I be without friends like Z3d in my life?

In the face of such generosity, I couldn't help but write a fic based on such beautiful artwork. Think of it as a gift in return, Z3d.
