At this stage of ingestion there is little reason for further external movement for the barnacle. All of its energy now is concentrated to its digestive organs and processing Umi. It takes the first couple of hours to reduce the prey's movements to twitches and involuntary muscle spasms before the paralysis can finally reach and stop Umi's heart.
The following hours afterwards is a long drawn out transformation for Umi from her elf body to a useful meal. A combination of soaking her in digestive slime and its tongue and constrictions within its stomach sac effectively crushes and churns her into a nutritious slurry of raw meat and bones. The stomach sac increasingly constricts and pushes the liquified meal upwards over time into filtering sacs above the stomach to absorb the nutrients into the barnacle's body and store any remaining fat. There is little to recognize from Umi's former appearance as her mass is effectively absorbed and claimed by the barnacle.

Oh, the sound of a prey's bones snapping
Must be painful
Although, maybe she's already too churned to feel that now~

I wonder how many other elves Umi fed to her pet, and how many more will wind up crunched inside the fleshy walls of the barnacle?

Lovely drawing and description. It is really nice to see Umi getting fully digested.
