Trapped in a void, Sybil has no choice but to play along, creating her first DnD character. However, she quickly learns that its called a DnD PARTY for a reason. On the brink of death, she's found by a motherly NPC who 'takes her in' so she can recover.
I was debating on making this longer, but I think short little chapters work best for now on this one.

I doubt this will be a short campaign. It could be so long, she will forget anything before.

Elves are notoriously long lived... ;)

I'm looking forward to seeing where this campaign is going.

Im guessing these are SAO rules, where dying isnt an option. And if the DM were to somehow die, does the game keep going wth the new one or is that a hard wipe. Would the new DM even know what power they got? This is all pretty exciting.

It's really a combination. Sybil only gets the one character, but regular DnD spells that can revive someone still work. Of course, someone needs to know you need help first.
I haven't really figured that one out yet. If the world did transfer to a new Awoken DM, they certainly wouldn't know. The world would then be tainted by their subconscious running amok without oversight. >:)

O_o.... What is reality to begin with. It could become something new ^^

Maybe... after all, the current DM is in quite the pickle himself at the moment.

Frankly, an Awoken DM can be dangerously scary. If you think of The Awakening series, spreading to countlessly imagined worlds, within worlds within worlds to suffer from apocalypses.
Or long story short. Awakenings by an Awoken DM, would inevitably have that setting suffer from its eldritch quirk-fueled world of monsters.

This was a super interesting read. I appreciate that nothing is explained yet, so we have to make our own observations. Like, who is she, what happened and all that. All the little details (her wanting to be done "quickly" with the game before going home, the "digesting / in my brain" notes from the Gamemaster implying what might have happened, or not) and all that.
I particularly liked the little metion, that the black-furred centaur would just blend in with the other horses. Made me think, if that would be a viable strategy for centaur caravans in general.
This whole short-story is just full of really cool little ideas. I hope we will see more of Sybil's adventures and Kassandra's antics in the future, but, if not, this short story is really interesting already on it's own.
Thanks for sharing!
