Fuyuto relaxes at the sauna after having a big squirmy dinner. The heat from all of that steam is unbearable for the human currently stewing inside the oni's belly, who wriggles and writhes in protest! However, the blue-skinned yokai doesn't seem to pay any heed at all. He just wants to kick back for a while...
I can finally upload this yay <3
A couple of weeks ago, I worked on a small side-project involving doing some more work in AnimeEffects for some simple loops...but then decided to go the extra mile and try rudimentary video/audio editing again!
While not 100% perfect and definitely has room for more practice and improvement, I'm really happy with the final results. Trying to find the right type of sounds for the video version, mixing them (no easy task since I have not a lot of experience!), while tricky to pull off, was pretty rewarding to do!
I think doing very basic/simple stuff like this is what AnimeEffects is best for, which is fine with me, u//u
Also, I have ANOTHER animated project done this way that is...pretty much finished but it'll be a while before I make it public!

I love it haha! Animation is not easy, neither is SFX design and putting it all together. You did a great job!

Thankyou! Especially since I don't really have a lot of high-end software for either things - AnimeEffects is free and open-source but kinda finicky, and my only video-editing thing I have is iMovie...which has its own setbacks x3 But I make due w/ what I got!

Never used AnimeEffects myself but I am curious to look into that now. Krita I think has some animation capabilities and you may want to check out DaVinci for editing (it's FREE), and if you ever need more sfx I actually have a small, but free library of sounds for folks to use however they want, if you would like a link to that. Just lemme know!

It's kinda like Live2D and DragonBones (more suited for puppet rigging)!
I heard decent things about DaVinci! I haven't thoroughly checked it out tho, maybe one of these days I should do that...
i'm curious about the sound library too! *U*

WHA that sounds like a fun little combo. I work with bone programs a lot. I'll definitely need to look then, because i want something simpler, easier and less expensive than After Effects

I think somebody else did point out that the audio on both the Eka's and MEGA uploads are, for some reason, more faint than the Bluesky upload. Not sure why that is...

I don't think its just you tho some times other animations that have audio on here don't work well. maybe cause this site isn't as functional for vids . maybe try furnitty?

Ahh I see. The only places I actually have links to the vid for are here, Mega and Bsky (the file is too big for Itaku i'm afraid, and i dont feel comfortable uploading this to YT)
however when I play the video on my end the audio seems to work fine, albeit still faint. :o

yeah its faint on my end after I turned up the volume all the way. . wish I was more helpful tho with this kinda thing ;=; but like I said try that furry site they have a lot of audio things

Ah makes sense! I'm still a bit out of practice for sound mixing - this is new territory for me but if I keep doing stuff like this i'll know where to improve ^^

that's the spirit long as you have fun that's all that matters :D keep at it and I'm sure you'll do great casue seeing animation in your style would be so fun! I'd also ask around to for advice ,maybe you'll find a different program to use for sounds :D

I mainly use iMovie for all the sound stuff, with a bit of Audacity!
I'm considering DaVinci tho for the video part...since iMovie locks you into a 16:9 aspect ratio w/o any means to change it, unless you use a third party software to crop it. a little tedious but better than nothing!

really awesome, male pred animations are so few and far between its great when we get something new. I really love the colour and shading used here
