Religious Exemptions By Augustin -- Report

Serial prey Zac Greenside has been digested by every woman on his course, save one. Sadine is a Unician, and will not eat outside her religion. Converting may not turn out to be the wisest thing he has done...

Does her religion have no comment on consent? Also I wanted to know about her sex life. She is impressed with her own figure, so there is a concept there, but what does she desire?

Does she have the same malice for Amanda's behavior as she does for Zac's? Why does she care about Amanda's feelings about what happened between her and Zac?

Obviously I have lots of questions, but this was great! Thought provoking, at the very least.

I didn't give much thought to whether Sadine was a virgin or not; probably she is and is 'saving herself' for marriage. She would only marry another Unician. Think of her like Melanie from Not Before Marriage: repressing desire until it's 'lawful', then letting go. Sadine might also eat her husband on her wedding night, so they're really very similar!

As for Amanda, she's Sadine's friend despite their different belief systems. Unicians aren't as critical of preds as prey - it's reformation, not digestion, which is the abomination. At most, Amanda was abetting that; but although Sadine would rather live in a world dominated by her religion (and that's a fun idea for another story), she's not so zealous that she won't socialise with the majority of the population.

While officially the Unician church doesn't condone unconsensual digestion, that's only to avoid trouble with the law. Permanently digesting the reformed is the core tenet of the religion - with their consent if possible, but without if (as in 99% of cases) not.

I should also clarify that Sadine wouldn't eat her husband because she was horny, only because she was hungry. It wouldn't be (or at least wouldn't be intended to be) a sexual thing.

The unicians don't mind that some people get with reformers repeatedly, they only hold the prey accountable? Also, I love that they are driven to get rid of reformers and do it outside of the law. I couldnt tell if it was just her when reading the first time. Thank you for all the answers!
