Just one thing, I don't think that Tia would become a faded memory. You did a lot to show they had a long history together. The memory of her death would haunt Jack for life...

The "faded memory" bit jarred at me too, to be honest. It seemed out of place, especially as a conclusion to the rest. Other than that, good scene.

Indeed. Interesting though, I received a "B" on this story. I didn't like the ending, as I was rushed into completing it. You're right though, someone who has had so much connection growing up, would not have forgotten her.
