This is a commissioned piece done by the ErikVonLehmann.

The work was commissioned after I saw his beautiful Forest Girl pictures. I highly recommend checking his gallery out. He has submitted some remarkable work. The naga here was originally intended to be something else, but I liked the character design he came up with so much, I did not want to change it.

This is Saida, my Felaryan giant forest naga, slithering through the forest she calls home. A wandering human adventurer, standing next to pair of giant toadstools, has unexpectedly found himself in her path. She has not yet noticed his presence.

Saida does not appear in any stories I’ve written thus far, but hopefully that will change. Her snake portion is based on the cobra, with its head flared (blame me for that part, not the artist). She adorns herself with items from the forest she inhabits – feathers from the plumage of harpies, leather from animal kills, carved bone beads, and more.

Wow, she looks tough. Did she actually kill harpies or did she just grab those feathers when they shedded them or something?

She's a little on the territorial side and does not take kindly to other predators encroaching on her territory. If a harpy was stupid enough to be on the ground anywhere near her - yeah, the feathers could easily come from such an encounter.

Oh man, so that human is totally naga chow if she sees him?

Not necessarily. Nagas aren't always hungry, after all. And it's possible, with him being an adventurer, he might have a trick or two he could use to escape (assuming he is of the apparently rare breed of adventurer who actually prepares for these things).

Can't wait to see her character sheet. And is that carved bone heads, or carved boneheads? ^_-

I really enjoy this work, and the flared cobra hood looks threatening and well splayed at the exact same time. Feel sorry for anyone that crosses that beauty's path. =)

Yep. The adventurer there is probably going to be in deep trouble unless he has some tricks up his sleeve.
