This is the poem that long ago inspired "Genji met the gul". I've been on a bear kick lately and decided to do an Algie strip. This'll be colored soon.

I don't think that's what the poem meant by "The bear met Algie". Still, good way to get acquainted with an ursine!

Frame 2 may be a bit questionable, but frame 4 is true to every version of the poem I found. The bulge is indeed Algie. 83
