While you might think from my art that I hate gnolls, I rather like them. It's just that when I need an evil humanoid for Uvuzi or Hialfi or another of my World of Greyhawk preds to eat, the selection is pretty slim. The occasional werewolf or were-whatever may disappear down a gullet, but regrettably it's more often a gnoll. 83
Here's a pic I drew at Midwest Furfest and colored today. The weapon was originally a glaive and changed to a bardiche, so it has some elements of both.

Ohhh nice. I'd say he's skinny, but that is gnolls for you: tall, muscle-bound, skinny, vicious as all hell. I can't remember their exact dimensions so I can't comment to the ration of him to the weapon.

I think he's about right, skinny but strong in the shoulders. By way of comparison the bardiche is seven and a half feet long, about the same as his height. It's a bit more glaive-like than the usual bardiche but there was a lot of variation in pole arms at the time bardiches were used.

Gnolls do make such nice enemies, but making them good guys really seemed to throw my players off once...

They have a reputation as about an evil a critter as they come, so I bet it did. 83

What can I say? Throwing my players a loop like that just makes their reactions so much fun.
