Just a quick character sketch, since my other one of daku here kinda.... whelp, sucks.

Tell me what you think. I want to finalize this and make it ready for animation soon. :)

It is certainly a substantial improvement.
I would try to go for a more natual sharky look on the pectorals and the eyes though

Hmmmm. I'm actually can't think of how I'd change the pectorals too much more, since they are being used to carry his somewhat heavy body.

What changes would you recommend?

The thing is that the pectorals are the smalles in the angle between the upper and lower half, real fins start out broad and get slimmer to the end. But I understand the issue that there has to be enough material at the end to carry all that weight.
I'd go for the way whitetip reef sharks do it. They actually use their pectoal fins to "walk" in and out of caves in corals. They have no feature resembling an ellbow or something, they simply have strong muscles in their body and bend their fins and walk a bit like turtles

I don't know if I like the idea of Daku waddling around like a turtle, but I think I could definitely make his 'elbows' less defined. :)

Of course you are right. The turtely thing comes from the elastic cartilage in the fins of normal sharks, daku would have some reinforced framework in it to support all the weight, similar to shark skulls which are cartilage with a very strong composite coating.
