Yup... Noisy Belly, just because I love it ^^

Prevore? hyperdimensional stomach? maybe... I let that to your taste ;-)

Author's note:

Hi!

I know, I know... I was away for long.

To be honest, lastly, I feared I had lost my taste for drawing... Too busy, too tired, not skilled enough...

But, after talking with some friends (special thanks to Gimlet), some time to think and the discovery of new tools and tutorials that allow me to try new ways, I decided to give a try, and I turned one of my recent scraps into an inked drawing. I hope it will please you, and I will be able to upload more in the future... ^^

As I said to Gimlet and StalkOBroccoli (lower in the comment), I wonder what my viewers call "vibes", "flair", "style", "touch"...

I wonder how people see my art, and how they perceive it. So, if you can (and want) tell me in some words how you see my style ^^

StalkOBroccoli

Posted by StalkOBroccoli 11 years ago Report

I'm not the best at such things.
I can't describe things like this, as I'm not good with names.
I'm good with faces. and in this case, style.
I can't correctly describe ones style.
personally, i find your style cartoony, and minimalistic. though you have a good sense of proportion.
your a good artist, but like many others, your set on a specific style. a look your familiar with, comfortable with.
I can't really describe other peoples art. I feel like I've got a long way to go before i feel even slightly qualified to do such things.
your a good artist, far from the best, but your art seems to elicit a lot of love from the community. so you must be doing something right!

Frakass

Posted by Frakass 11 years ago Report

Thank you very much ^^
I believe it's an honest opinion about my style. I especially notice your use of the term "minimalistic" : I guess you point out the plainness of the scenery (I do like this because I want to work faster and because I want to highlight the action) and the use of a minimal number of lines to draw the characters (I'm a big proponant of the "less is more" drawing, as I prefer to use shading than lines to draw many details, like the folds on fabrics...).

And what do you mean with "not skilled enough"??? You are one of the best artists on this site! Hurray for Frakass!!!

Frakass

Posted by Frakass 11 years ago Report

Thanks ^^
I'm happy I succeeded in giving her the look I wanted :-)
I'm not totally bad at drawing, indeed, but everytime I see what Karbo, Shyguy9, Frostbyte, Nitro-Titan and many others draw, I still feel somewhat awkward...

Marcasus

Posted by Marcasus 11 years ago Report

Oh, I see! You compare yourself to the other masters of this site. Well, it can be hard to compare different artists skills because of different drawing styles, but you are at least as good as Shyguy9 and Frostbyte. But I think ANYONE would have a hard time comparing themself to Nitro -Titan or Karbo (but you are absolutley beating Karbo in vore content)

Frakass

Posted by Frakass 11 years ago Report

Thanks, but hey, I always look to what I want to reach :-P

I'm maybe approaching Frostbyte level now (in style too, as I always loved his one), and I'm still one step behind Shyguy9, at least in term of dynamic (I mean he draw movement a lot better than me).
Well, Karbo and Nitro-Titan are professional level artists, and they draw pretty different things from me, but in term of vore content, it's often a question of taste. Finally, my own style of vore / BE / GTS (often very extreme and weird, but cute, lighthearted and comical) is maybe the most singular element of my art...

I'm really glad things are going better for you Frakass, as evidenced by the obvious flair you put into this. I learned the hard way (over a long time) how difficult it can be sometimes to have true confidence in yourself. FRAKASS HAS RETURNED!

How I see your work?

It's half manga, half traditional drawing style makes it very appealing in it's believable human anatomy. As in, her head might be quite large, but the work is done such that I can imagine it being real. The way it is drawn, and the colours when you decide to experiment really bring out strong emotion. Your work is lively, and beautiful to me. It is like a poem in drawn form. Descriptive enough that I can think and feel what you want me to think and feel from your work. It might seem really pretentious, but it is honestly how I feel.

Such as in this piece. Her expression is descriptive to show an overwhelming feeling coming over her. Her eyes dazed and crossed, eyebrows scrunched, lips pursed, nose slightly askew (as pulled by her pursed lips), blushed cheeks, and head cocked slightly back all add to this subconscious reading of emotion.

There is also the vibe, the aura around everything. The large and well drawn to describe the feeling the written sound is emanating. I feel as though I can actually hear it.

And then of course shape of the body, where the anatomy is congruent, and form is smoothly transitioned to... appealing proportions. All in a believable and smooth manner.

Frakass, you are my favourite artist. You might not have the most versatile drawings, as in most appearances are quite similar, but they are so very honed and believable. You are a master artist and my books.

Most of what I have written above I do not get from any other artist, and with yours I get it from every single piece you show.

Frakass

Posted by Frakass 11 years ago Report

Wow... Thanks!

I didn't realized every of these aspects before you told it, and you have the honesty to point out some of my flaw, like the lack of versatility. I'm surprised about the anatomy, as I'm never too happy of my skills in this field (I tend to think I'm still under the influence of the "Franco-Belge" comic style, so familiar to me).

I didn't imagined my work could have some poetry, as I'm rather "down to earth" when I draw, but I'm very pleased to read that my drawing is lively, because it's always one of my key goal ^^
I'm happy you like the look of the character and the way I try to show their feeling ;-)

Being the favorite artist of somebody is an encouraging situation. I will try to not deceive you in the future ;-)

DoniVores

Posted by DoniVores 11 years ago Report

It is poetry in the sense that it describes a scene with just the right amount and method of detail. Nothing in excess, and nothing lacking. Everything right where it should be. I compare this to writing, as it is something that I am somewhat confident in. When I write fiction, I want to describe a scene such that when it is read that the reader will be able to easily imagine they are there, that this is possible. And that the wording describes the feeling of everything, such as how fast things are happening, the intent behind them, and to infer things about the word from those selected words. That is what your works have done for me.

You cannot deceive me, friend. As it seems that you are incapable of failure. Though do not be discouraged that you must do the same things. Anything you make will most likely be satisfactory to me, as yet nothing by you hasn't. Stay true to yourself. You have my utmost confidence.

Frakass

Posted by Frakass 11 years ago Report

Thanks ^^
As I said in an reply to StalkOBroccoli, I'm indeed a proponant of a "minimalistic" approach of drawing, with less scenery to draw faster and highlight the action, and less lines on the characters, using shadow to show the details. I'm happy to see it's working pretty well.

I will continue to try to improve in my future works, because it's also a great part of this hobby, in addition to the game of finding new ideas to draw! ;-)

Frakaaaass ! Long time no see indeed ! I tought you were indeed busy, but I'd never think you would think that you lack skill. Of course nobody's perfect but... You're really talented, man ! (tes dessins au plomb ont de quoi me rendre très jaloux ! :p) And now, as I see here that you're using a tablet to draw on computer, it should be even better. (I do find using a tablet way easier than drawing the traditionnal way). So I'm very glad that you could get the hang of it in the end ! (I may say it's easy, but it's easy when... you know, when you get the hang of it :p)

Can't wait to see more "Frakass Vore Ideas" ! And Frakass content at all. =) Also can't wait to show you the comic I'm working on... J'en suis à la page 48 et... j'achève. J'ACHÈVE. c:

Frakass

Posted by Frakass 11 years ago Report

Thanks!
Ah, I still love to draw on paper (to be honest, I still need a scrap drawn on paper before to work on my tablet, just because I don't have the right feeling on it), but digital drawing allows so much more!

Debolte

Posted by Debolte 11 years ago Report

Sinon, ouais, for sketching on paper... I guess you can't remove the artist's tool of the trade ! But on my side, I found a good way to sketch on computer. I sketch in light grey and then reduce opacity and ink on a layer above. (je compte faire des streams quand je vais commencer à encrer, alors tu veras ce que je veux dire !) It's very simple, but it took me a little while to adjust this method to my likings. (I use Paint Tool SAI, by the way. Awesome software for lineworks, and coloring too. Which brings me this question : what did you use to make the above picture ?)

Frakass

Posted by Frakass 11 years ago Report

And about your question, this drawing is the first I inked with -drumroll- Paint Tool SAI!
(and GIMP2 for the texts... But SAI is fantastic!).
I hope to be able to directly draw on the tablet in the future, it would be even faster this way... but I'm still unable to arrange all the elements of my scene correctly if I don't draw on paper, it's like if I don't get a correct overview with the tablet...

Debolte

Posted by Debolte 11 years ago Report

Haha, I love SAI ! Glad you like it :)
As for sketching I always had problems visualizing a scene, even on paper, so I use the computer's ease to do so, by separating my scene elements into different layers, so I can move and arrange them around. And since it's just sketch I don't fear to enlarge or shrink those elements as it doesn't matter if it becomes a bit pixelated, since they're sketches :p Also I suggest trying to master SAI's lasso tool as it becomes quite handy in managing sketches. Also understand SAI's copy/paste layer mechanic. It's kind of limited compared to what Photoshop's capable, but I found a way to do everything I need anyway.

So if ya got any questions regarding SAI, feel free to ask ! I think I've got a good part of it down. =)

Frakass

Posted by Frakass 11 years ago Report

SAI is indeed simple and efficient in the same time. I will try to develop my knoledge of this software for my next works. Thanks in advance for your help ;-)

The crazy thing about this is that, I looked at all your artwork yesterday and was reminiscing about your art. And today you created a new art piece. You are especially one of my favorite artist. And the talent of drawing that you have is very precious to me because it is able to capture an idea in the mind that might be a bit hazy and make it clearer. If you are open for commisions i think its about time i stop being a lurker and start contributing :)

Frakass

Thanks!
Sorry about the commissions, but my schedule doesn't like them, it seems (in addition of my lack of interest to draw for money -no, it's not a joke- and my already poor ability to fulfill simple requests), but don't worry, you can contribute by commenting my art, and especially by giving me ideas (even if I only draw a little number of the often great ideas people tell me).
I'm always trying to find new ideas because it's my favorite part of this hobby, and I'm never more happy than when I find one that works well, original, fancy and obvious in the same time!

You have a very unique style, Its hard to compare it to any one else. This is one of the reasons i think you should really invest into your art, Even if its not all fetish art, I think a unique style is a rare thing in this day and age of art where most have been explored. I love all of your work, You are a great artist and you have much more growth in my opinion to be made. Dont lose your taste for it, Keep on trucking, I believe in you.

Frakass

Thanks.
To be honest, I never really tried to get a precise style, like european comic, manga, cartoon... I just draw the way I like, adding or changing elements with the time (mostly by being inspired by -a nice way to say copying- other artists, details by details).
I'm sometimes draw non fetish art, but I still need a lot of training, especially to be able to draw less static scene (but it's true for the fetish art too ^^), and, with the little amount of time I have to draw, I'm always more inclined to make fetish art, because I already have a public and a background, like my "universes"...

JackFrost

Posted by JackFrost 11 years ago Report

Speaking mainly as a lurker, who tends to be far too shy to post comments(In this instance, I'll brave it, in light of your own request) I can only say that my 'perception' of your art is me being very, very turned on and aroused! So few artists on here seem to fully understand the incredible eroticism of intense digestion, and the need for it (lots of it). The fact that you add the outlines of the victims' faces as they are digested, along with all the screams for mercy and stomach gurgling sounds makes me utterly addicted to your art work. I love it!

I can't really add any technical comments, other than to say that I think your drawings look great to me. These latest colored works are pure heaven! This one (which I choose to regard as pre-vore) is delicious.. though obviously I'd love to see her swallowing a helpless guy, and then hearing his screams for mercy as she digests him all up. I hope there's to be a sequel.

So good so see a new work from you, I've been checking your page almost every day for months in the hope of seeing something, now, at last, I have been rewarded. Please don't stop.

Frakass

Posted by Frakass 11 years ago Report

Thanks ^^
You point out some aspect of vore I indeed really love, and, indeed, I always try to emphasize them in my works : Digestion, victims squirming and kicking, large objects melting in distended bellies (what better proof of the power of a pred girl than dissolving a car or a building larger than her, especially if she look deceptively cute and sweet).
All these aspects are really sexy to me, and I'm pleased they are also arousing for you. It means that I'm not working only for myself, and it's important to me. ^^

I don't know if I will give a sequel to this... I have some idea, but it will broke the purity of the "imagine what happen next" concept and some viewer will be disappointed... I still have to decide.

Thnaks!
Well, to be honest, it's the first time I see "silly" used as a positive comment, but I accept it with pleasure, because it sound rather right ^^
I guess approachable means here my art make vore less scary / disturbing for new viewers... Well, indeed, it seems I always try to defuse the inherent horror of the scenes with a fun tone, cute charatcters and a cartoony style... :-P

"Realistic cartoonish" : interesting description. I guess it's the result of my will to keep a "realsitic" and consistent approach of many aspects (like anatomy, especially the arrangement of the bones, or the scenery, with many existing elements like real cars or buildings) while my characters are drawn in a cute and funny way...

I've been a fan of yours since I started watching artists on Eka's - I have always looked forward to new art from you and I am very happy you have decided to start posting again! I'm not an artist, but I have always appreciated the back stories you provide for your characters - you are a world builder and I love watching as new characters expand (literally!) into extended stories. My favorites have always been the various elf races and the plane girls, but anything drawn in your sexy female style with a huge prey filled belly works for me!

Thanks !

And the universe that produced enough material to be uploaded are maybe only the half of what I created...
I always prefer to give to my characters a background and a life, because I'm only able to feel fondness for builded characters.
I have ideas for the elf and the plane-girls, but, for the last one especially, there are many non-vore ones (usually jokes about real-world aviation history)... I hope to be able to draw all the idea I have!
