Actually he does love them but he can't say no. Because they're speaking the truth in regards to their money issues. And the girls are feeding themselves so they dont cause more strain on the husband/father's wallet so HE doesnt starve. So in essence they're giving themselves up because they love him and dont want him to suffer.

Yeah, indeed. Just re-read the comic and found that out. Just as you say, it really is a sacrifice of the family for his sake. I have to admit, I really want to know what happens next. I just have a twisted mind.

I feel like the man is the only one in this entire house even remotely sane. Then again. I guess that would apply to all willing prey, and preds really have to be a bit of their rockers to think eating another live crwature is okay.
