Going by part 3's frame 1 and 6, it definitely looks like her mouth.

Well you are wrong on that one, it the upper part of her lip. Her mouth is open and she is swallowing her prey which is inline with the rest of the comic.
You can even see the droll/saliva as she is swallowing.
