3) Time passes, baby develops.

Reminds me of an old creation of my own. I called it the Mawther. Radically different physiology and a severe sexual dimorphism that permanently bonds a male to its host female.

I don't think I have ever had a nightmare, always have I been aware I was dreaming and just changed things in the dream at will. Closest thing was when I dreamed my nephew fell in an alligator enclosure, and I went in after him and saved him.

An interesting concept and drawing! I usually imagine this kind of thing as being a fairly permanent arrangement: the female is larger than the male, and once she chooses a mate she unbirths him, withdraws him into a cavity specifically for that purpose, and that particular opening seals up forever. Her body maintains his (though he gradually loses unnecessary parts, like arms and legs), and in return he shares her life and services her whenever the whim strikes her.
