Deep in the depths of the cool, watery deep... a lone mermaid basks in a warm, happy glow <3 She jets, glides, twists and slides in the vast, open waters, doing her merry underwater dance.

This mermaid revels in the sensational afterglow of a plentiful, filling meal... a meal made of plump, living human~...

Her excitement is of both satisfaction and an exhilaration that results from danger. Mermaids are careful to never venture close to where humans dwell for very long. Humans have long since considered mermaids and mermen a rare and exotic delicacy. But by the same token, Mers have long considered humans a delectable indulgence of their own, worthy of the risk involved in hunting them.

Our red-headed mermaid pictured here, is still wrapped in the throes of exhilaration that comes of overcoming peril. She is still energized by the pounding adrenaline of the hunt. Thrilled, in finally stealing the chance to greedily force her dangerous prey's supple body down her throat, worming the struggling meal down into her tight, powerful tail. She uses both her strength and the water to expertly subdue her prey, before slinking back into the murky deep, her meaty prize weighing her down.

A mermaid's powerful tail is where her primary stomach sits. It is utterly unfaltering in its ability to keep a meal down. Here, her helpless quarry will stay, with no hope of leaving this mermaid's most sensitive, vacuum-tight flesh ever again.

Now our mermaid is afforded ample chance to dream of where her prey's succulent meat will go... will it pad out her breasts, perchance? Maybe her hips, or her aquatic buttocks? If she swims to stimulate her muscles enough, she could further strengthen her mighty tail, and by extension, toughen up her stuffed gut~? Perhaps her meal's meat will simply fatten her tummy up. A little hug-able pudge would be more than tolerable for a while...?

Whatever the eventual shape the poor victim's body grants her predator, the mermaid will revel in the shapely protrusion on her tail's sensitive underside for a while to come. A sensual, luscious, fatty bulge that twists, turns and contorts together with her own body's every pose. Each motion, a new ecstatic sensation.

...In short, she is going to enjoy working this meal down a whole lot~...

Notes:
This pic was primarily an exercise in color balance. While I found no documented observations on the following, I've noticed that green doesn't feature as readily in a lot of different artworks' palettes. I think it's because of how easily it seems to clash with other colors? Or maybe because in some versions of the color wheel, it's only featured as a secondary, instead of primary color?

I did consult the ol' color wheel to decide on which shades to use for each different component in this piece, but I had a tough time deciding whether to keep her tail green amid all the blue and red :3c Just didn't seem to fit well initially, but luckily some texturing and a somewhat prehistoric pattern on her back seemed to fix it up! What do you think of this?

I'm probably just rambling. I do need to brush up more on color dynamics. Like with many of my other pics, the first draft's colors were a bit desaturated, so I applied the finishing touches using Photoshop's color balancing adjustment layer, then added a noise and paper-texture over everything to give it that last touch. Without the noise, the water came across as too clear and flat.

What a nice pic! I wish my coloring skills were this good. My mermaid is also jealous of this mermaid, because she ends up being the meal more often than not. X3

Thank you, I'm very pleased with how her bulge turned out too 0v0 The prey's arms being up was a last-minute inspiration kind of thing during the construction phase.

Like she swallowed a swimmer as she was diving into the water and straight into the waiting mouth of the mermaid. The Bulge can make the drawing look so much better and sexy when you can see the women's out line so well.
