> Give Elykae a hug

Turning to Elykae, you decide to show her that you appreciate her willingness to open up to you. Reaching over you put your wings around her in a hug. It seems to surprise her, but she doesn't pull away.

"What..?" She sounds confused. "Floria, what are you doing..?" You tell her it's just a hug. "I know that but... why?" Pulling back again to face her, you explain that you just want to make her feel like she belongs with your group, and that you just enjoy showing this sort of feeling towards your allies. "I... I see." You can't see her face for the mask, but you get the feeling she might be blushing a bit, which makes you smile.

"But... I understand it may be more common here, but an embrace like that where I am from means... well, a lot more." She continues. "It's usually reserved for couples, or family." You give her a smile, and admit that you wouldn't mind getting to know her a bit closer, so the "couple" idea could be something. "That is... Are you... flirting with me..?" This deergirl seems to enjoy being blunt, so you give her a blunt answer, nodding with a smile. "I... I see but, do you really think that now is an appropriate time?" You sigh, admitting that it probably isn't. Again, you don't want to be doing who knows what when Myla wakes up, especially with someone she seems to hate. Though you do note that Elykae doesn't seem terribly against the idea. "That is... Well, such a thing is difficult." For once she doesn't give you a direct answer, which makes you chuckle. It would seem that you've managed to fluster this usually serious agent.

Your conversation is interrupted though, when you hear a knock at the door. A moment later, it opens up to reveal Tassri standing outside. "She's awake. I assumed you'd want to know." As she says that, you quickly get up and start heading over, though you do ask how she is. "She's fine. She seems to have a bit of a headache, but that's a usual aftereffect of any of my magic."

You quickly head to Myla's room and go inside, finding the wolfkin sitting on the side of her bed. Stepping towards her, you ask how she feels.

"Like I got the worst hangover of my life... Urgh..." Myla turns to you. "You guys could have warned me of this beforehand." She seems to be her normal grumpy self, so you breathe a sigh of relief at that. Sitting next to her, you ask if it worked, if her head feels right now. "Yeah... Everything feels right." She nods. "I can remember everything, including some stuff I'd rather not." You remember that she was a slave for a while there. Those memories probably aren't the happiest.

Tassri enters the room, looking over at the two of you. "Your mind may still degrade again. There's no way to be certain that this recovery will properly stick, so we'll need to keep an eye on you. I would like to-"

"That's nice, but I wanna talk to Floria right now." Myla interrupts her. You note that she has a pretty serious look on her face. "Alone."

Tassri frowns at her. "Hm... Your mind is still in a somewhat unstable form at the moment, I cannot just-"

"If something happens, then Floria can go get you." The wolfkin is actually looking a bit angry now. "Now piss off. I'm not asking again."

The spider looks a bit taken aback, but eventually complies, heading outside and shutting the door behind her. She wasn't kidding when she said that Myla could be even more stubborn. She certainly wasn't very polite about that.

"I'll keep this short for now." Myla speaks to you again. "I was wrong before. The Empire aren't the bastards I remembered them to be. I'm okay with Elykae sticking around, but we're still going to keep an eye on her. A spy's still a spy. And yeah, I'm willing to go to the Empire now. Hell, I had planned to do it anyway before my head got screwed up." You ask her why she left her home then. "Well, the war was a part of it. There was another reason but..." She pauses for a bit before looking at you. "Listen, I trust you. But this is something I need to keep to myself for now. Just... trust me on it, alright?" You hesitantly nod, but can't help but be worried.

"Anyway, we have another problem." She looks over at the door. "She may have cured me, but there's no way in hell I'm trusting her beyond that. I've seen how she talks. Everything she says is a bloody lie." You admit that Tassri holds some sort of hatred for human-like races, which could be problematic. "She does? Then yeah, that's even worse. I mean, if she finds out about you..." You glance away for a moment, which Myla catches. "... You already told her? And what did she say?" You say that she seemed okay with it, but it did hurt her trust of you a little. "Yeah, I'm not buying it. Listen, we need to cut her loose as soon as we can. She's just gonna get us in a shitload of trouble." You explain that Elykae also seems to distrust her some, though her magic does seem useful. "Useful or not, she's going to get us killed or arrested."

Deciding to steer the conversation away from Tassri, you tell her about the dwarf and his lack of payment. "... Of course, bloody nobles..." She shakes her head. "We'll just have to do something about that, won't we?" You explain that Marcus has already told you that confronting Sarum could be dangerous with the power he holds. "Damn it. I already know better than to deal with powerful nobles. So what do we do now?" You decide to mention the plan that Tassri had about her and Elykae going to deal with it. Myla's expression changes as she seems to get an idea.

"That's... That actually can work. With one change." She gives you a determined look. "Leave Elykae out of it. Send Tassri alone. Worst case scenario, she actually succeeds and we get our gold. Best case, she gets the bastard, and gets caught. Two birds with one stone." You're a bit alarmed to see her plotting like this. "Listen, I already told you. That spider is bad news. The sooner we get rid of her, the better. This is a perfect oppurtunity. We just make sure she does it in a way that doesn't involve us and we're fine." She stands up and stretches. "Get her out of the picture, and then we can just grab Jates and get the hell outta here. Back to Erada, and then to the Empire. That's our best option right now." She turns back to you. "At least, that's what I plan to do. If you're stupid enough to stick around with the spider, then we're just going to have to split up. I'm not going to waste time with her."

This Myla seems quite different than before. A lot more determined, and her opinion of Elykae and the Empire has radically changed. However, she seems to have very strong opinions against Tassri, even though she's the one who cured her. You're honestly a bit concerned over this, and decide to ask her if her opinion of you has changed. She pauses for a bit, looking at you. "You're still a moron in my eyes. Don't worry, that hasn't changed." She smirks as she says that, and you take mild offence. "I do remember some of the bullshit you've pulled before though. But... I'm willing to forget about it. You've done a lot for me. I can't really fault you too much. So yeah. Thanks for getting me cured this much." She chuckles a bit. "Just don't forget our deal. You still gotta keep me fed."

You breathe a sigh of relief for now. Myla's mind and willpower is certainly a lot stronger, but it seems like she still likes having you around. Though now you've got to decide what to do...

Hmm I dislike this myla lol I mean I feel horrible for tassri and hey maybe she really is lying and stuff and I'm just biased because I find her character interesting. But it's things like this that is probably why she was living alone so much, not wanting to deal with this kind of bullshit >~<. Hard mode?! I'm not willing to do hard mode with Myla lol I feel like sticking around with her as she is now pretty much elimates any of our having fun with others while also eliminating what little freedoms we have, she's super aggressive and Florias been kind of played passively so she's going to be swept under.

I would go talk to Tassri, alone we gotta tell her what's going on. Apologize for Myla's rudeness. Also I would mention Myla's Now intense dislike for tassri now and her wanting to cut her loose or get rid of her via this dwarf mission. We should at least tell her how we feel about her being around and how we aren't turning our back on her...yeah maybe a idiot move but ughh I dislike people judging someone just off appearance, like I think tassri could be super loyal to us if we show we are willing to back her up NOT cut her loose hoping she gets caught I mean Gahhh what a asshole! She doesn't have to do any of this shit, she's getting us our reward money.

I know Myla's popular but I'm sticking with Tassri hell i would prefer bluebell over Myla anyways we still got fluff birb hell we even have innocent garret we could fluff lol

Myla has changed the target of her hostility!

Also, flirting with Elykae was nice, but... the one who is in need of some counter-flirting is Tassri. We need to assess our dominance in the flirting department.

Myla seems like she plans to become the de-facto leader of the party again.

She might be right about Tassri, but even if we are to separate her from the party, abandoning her to her luck is just not our style. That's kind of dickish.

She sacrificed the meal elf she was going to eat for our sake. She even healed Myla. So, fine, let's let Tassri know that keeping both Myla and her in the party is going to be complicated, but at the same time, let's compromise to take her along at least, until we reach the Empire. After that, if Myla still insists on not travelling with her, we could seprate ourselves from Elykae and Tassri, and travel to the same places, but separately, reducing the amount of time we spend together as we travel, and thus, reducing the chances of unnecessary conflict.

Also, the trip to Erada, we could have it happen with just Myla, Floria and Jates. Maybe Garret too, to allow faster transportation.

Taking Elykae and Tassri to Erada city might backfire pretty hard. BB too, considering she is feral. (is she well fed, recently, though? We don't want a hungry Bluebell causing trouble while we are gone).

NOW, as far as what we have to do right away, make sure Myla is alright, tell her that we need more time to decide what we will be doing about the dwarf.

Then, get out of the room and tell Elykae the good news. Myla no longer hates her.

Then, tell Tassri the bad news. Myla now hates her, and we want to apologize for the rude way she has treated her. Tassri did seem pretty surprised to get treated in such hostile way, so let's make sure she doesn't take it too badly.

I say, have Tassri put Myla to sleep then eat her~

No particular reason... i just prefer having full control over our situation. its either that or get Myla to help us attack Tassri, knock her out then eat HER.

And so, the voice of reason in the party returns. Just in time to tell Floria how stupid bringing an unrepentant, racist murderer into the party was.

Cut the spider loose.

My kinship with the wolf lass is strong. I feel her certainty in her voice all the more aggressive. She has not had enough time with Madam Tassri to give her trust. She also became quite a schemestress in here own right. This Lady Myla is quite volatile indeed. Perhaps we can convince her to establish an agreement as we had done before with the deer lass. However Lady Myla is quick to make up her mind. She threatens to leave and I believe her. She does have some secret that seems to be important enough to do so. Making me wonder, was it love or lust that has held Lady Myla's captivation with mylady?

Right then try and attempt some deal. "Give her a chance and if she tries something than you have the final say" as before with Lady Elykae.

May steel line thy path

Bonk Myla onna head with something squishy to disable HARD MODE. I vote Tassri's boobs! ^_^

Anyway, it's totally understandable how she thinks the Arachne is gonna turn into Sephiroth and betray us. Tassri's life was basically the 'School of Hard Knocks', so she doesn't know what a softer life is like. That'll make ya behave a certain way.

Myla should spend another two days recovering in Malor, then we can revisit the issue. Tassri said Myla's still healing. That, and she's sex starved. Lewds must be used to heal!

Ask Tassri if she's willing to mess with the dwarf in a way that won't kill him.. that is, financially ruin him, permanently take away his ability to calculate, or something?

Best thing to do might be to have Tassri eventually set up home in Grental, far away from humankind. (Floria appears to have a habit of picking up people in need and helping them.)

Saying it outright: Dumping Tassri right now would be a dick move. v_v

Myla's holding back the reason for leaving town is an eye-opener, though. She's probably wanted in Mesai. She was a bandit...

That hug was awesome. Such a cute flustered deer. ^ω^

paltiel

Posted by paltiel 8 years ago Report

Wild speculation ahead, ye've been warned.

I totally see this as a test from Tassri. She's wickedly intelligent and would do something like that.

She gave Myla a latent suggestion to not like her, if only to see how we react to it. The suggestion will hopefully evaporate in a couple of days.

So.. full agreement with everyone who wants to apologize to Tassri for Myla's behavior and explain it'll be tough to keep the group together in the meantime.

That, or Myla's simply jealous she no longer has the biggest boobs inna party.

JiklokEmisaryOfSteel

The Lady Myla could increase her size at will with the help of bodies, though I doubt she wishes to. She did afterall wish to decrease them early on in our venture.

You do make a thorough observation there. I probably should've just read your post and simply said "agreed" rather than have my own comment that's quite the essay down below. ^^;

I think I need to retract and redact some of my comments and say we need to talk to Myla. Though, she does have good enough reason not to believe in our judge of character; we'd be dead without her and she knows it (and vice versa).

Sarethas

I like Myla this way. She's adorably assertive, which could lead to some interesting things. :D I will suggest that the party split though. Elyake and Tassari go to the Empire their own way, and we take Myla, and maybe Jates if we think she'll be safe there, and make our way to the Empire ourselves. Just, you know, have Elyake spread the word that we helped her out to her allies when she gets home. :D

Razgriz

I actually like Tassri, so i'd like to know why Myla has a strong dislike to her. There's no need to plot behind her back, why not just ask her to settle down somewhere instead of adventuring?

AnominableBreadman

Posted by AnominableBreadman 8 years ago Report

I suppose Tassri's plan is a go then? We should go tell Tassri about going with it then. We should also try to apologize to her about Myla, tell her that it may have something to do with Edris, a bandit Elf who they had join there group yet Myla warned about. Use Edris' story as a way to boost the point Floria could make which is this: that Floria made a mistake in trusting Edris, in turn ignoring Myla's warnings, nearly loosing two friends and herself because of it. She, however, really doesn't want trusting Tassri to be a mistake either. Once this thing with the dwarf is over, Floria could say that she hopes Tassri will eventually change her outlook on human-like races will change to a more positive one, including towards Floria hopefully.

walkingbyself

Posted by walkingbyself 8 years ago Report

So Myla is has her memories back, that's good news. Bad news we must now ditch our spider. I wonder if trying to play peace keeper will work long enough to get Tassari to the Empire for Elykae. It would be nice to have both Tassari and Myla since we did say we were willing to be her test subjects and Elykae said she was okay as well. So much for lewds in spider womb or belly. QwQ But we can't have our cake and pudding at the same time I guess. Unless we somehow gain super amazing charisma and somehow talk both of them into playing nice with each other and do the impossible. That is, have wolf-spider babehs with wings!

Also hard mode? More like uhm... Uh... Let me think. More like bitch mode, yeah. I'm not creative enough.

The_Prof

Posted by The_Prof 8 years ago Report

Hmmm my advice with this is to suggest we take Myla's plan and meet halfway. After all letting Tassri wander alone is a terrible idea. So have Elykae follow Tassri... But from a safe distance and hidden. That way we can keep tabs on Tassri while still making her feel like we aren't backstabbing her

DeityV

Posted by DeityV 8 years ago Report

Fiesty Myla eh? I wonder if lewd persuasions are as effective with her as they were before. Well, tell her that while we don't necessarily trust Tassri yet either, without her, Myla could end up losing her memories again and be back to how she was (which might actually make things easier...). Also, question her more about what she us keeping from us. We've really been around with her long enough that there really is no need to keep secrets from us. Also, we'll have to test how new Myla is with lewds eventually. As for the dwarf plan...I really feel Marcus might be forced to get in our way. I'd rather avoid making enemies and a noble will certainly be noticed if he went missing. Marcus already knows we are thinking about it. Plus, with the internal conflict our party is having right now, we could be in trouble if we are confronted with a large force.

Thagrahn

Send Tassri after Dwarf, and take everyone else to Erada.

TotallyRandom

Posted by TotallyRandom 8 years ago Report

So the deer hides something from us, the spider hides something from us and now the wolf too. I bet Bluebell would be too, if she was able to speak in the first place.

Only because Tassri is dangerous doesn't mean she will start a mad killing spree. Dumbing her now would just be an asshole move. We will at least bring her to Grental, if Myla has a problem with that, we have to split up.

However I agree with Myla to send the spider alone. Tell her it's a show of trust. She should deal with the dwarf in a way that we are still able to travel in Sidol. The rest stays in Malor, talk to Marcus in the late evening, so we have an alibi if anything goes wrong. We would never send anyone alone.(plausible deniability)

Ark

Posted by Ark 8 years ago Report

i agree with this. mainly because she seems... better and to be thinking clearly, before she was a mess and if it was worded right could be talked into anything. now she seems to have a plan, a purpose and a past other then the whole "i was captured, slaved, and tormented" almost like rayen threw a hidden secret about her into the mix.

it would be Glorious if she was a minor noble or something like that>.>

but yea guys history is repeating itself, remember edris the elf? and she seems to hate jates and our guard captian and he her. that right there sends red flags because he judged myla to be a good person even with the things she had done in the past. so if he doesn't like her then there is something about her that screams "dont get involved with me" (again reminds me of the elf)

This is a strange turn of events. Myla is pretty adamant that Tassri is bad news. She knows something that Floria doesn't as a consequence of her healing. I think it's imperative that Floria gets a thorough explanation behind Myla's distrust for Tassri. What occurred during the healing that has Myla thinking this way?

Also, side episode of Garrett and Bluebell being an awkward couple?

1. schedule some loving with Myla.
2. schedule some loving with the whole gang if Myla is ok with that.

3. Agree that spider and deer can be dumped, but not right now. We are going to the Empire and so are they. So we should stay together until we get there.

4. Check with deer. She pulled Spider in with the job offer. is she still willing to associate with the spider until we get to the empire? Does she have any solid reason not to trust her?

5. Gather gang and make plans. Basic plan: We head to Empire, stopping on way to "collect" our pay from the dwarf. Goal is to cure Myla and likely getting spider a job.

5a. Dwarf plans. Can't make final plans yet, but can get a little decided. Do spider and deer want to do a robbery more or less on their own? Do we have a base plan? Jates, Garrett are honest citizens right now. Do they want to risk that?
Note we are only collecting a debt. We can't kill, and we can't overcollect
For most of the party, a secret mission is superior. Spider and deer are likely never coming back, and can be fingered, but the rest of us may be coming back and want a "clean" record with the law.

6. Head to jail. Tell captain we are leaving town to get Myla healed , Back? who knows? See drow and check on her attitude. Able to live with spider at least briefly? not friendly to dwarf? If attitude is right, offer her chance to come with us.

Getting rid of the spider may be a good idea , but right now, we have a simple plan for cutting ties without problems, taking her and deer to the empire where they have duties and possibly lives. That could change spider from near feral to productive member of society. That is something well worth doing. So for the short time, we try to keep her, and Myla

Hard mode? Challenge accepted!!!

We should agree with Myla. She normally has a good sense when it comes to things like this. Last time we ignored her, bad things happened. A lot!

I'd say stay with Myla. We've had her from the start. Let's not abandon her.

Myla did a bit of a turn around with Elykae. She went from hating her to not minding having her around.

Let Tassri do what she wants with the dwarf. We can go and explore the ruins nearby while she's doing her thing.

Tell Myla to wait here. We can go and get her jacket armored with the Adventurers armor. If the tailor says that won't work, use the other armor. That should get us some relation points with her. Show her we care more than she remembers (I hope she still likes the jacket and doesn't want to get rid of it).

I think Elykae might be in some kind of relationship with someone else. That's might be why she's acting odd.

I'm with doing what Myla would like hard mode isn't HARD CORE TO THE MAX MODE so I think we're really in like neutral difficulty now.

But we should also try to regain our position as leader again just to be sure Myla isn't gonna take charge making us follow her around.

I still think Tassri's done enough to earn some trust here. I'd let her go after the noble, and even take Elykae with her- though it might be good to discuss all of this with Elykae prior.

Now, I want to stress again, Tassri is a mezzer. She could turn the party against each other with relative ease- and she's also strong enough to have put up a decent fight between everyone here(Minus Myla, plus two guards). That may be a problem if she turns on us- but that WILL be a problem if we turn on her. Do not screw with the mezzer until you have a reliable means to counter it.

We should also... probably check on Tahtsu eventually.

Operation Payday
- Tassri offered to deal with the dwarf and skip our trade. Also she want's us to trust her more. So we take her offer.
- Elykae can't go with Tassri. If a grentalian spy is seen attacking an influential alliance nobleman, it could easily lead to Sidol joining the war along Messai.
- The whole group needs some kind of alibi, or else we are fast suspects. Also Tassri must not be seen leaving the town.
- Late afternoon/ early night Floria and Myla could pretend to be drunk and fighting among each other near a gate. There should only be a few guards on duty and when they come to break up the fight, Tassri can slip out.
- We also could arrange Tathsu's release and blame the dwarf for sending them down, despite knowing that they were not prepared. Make up a story how he used adventurers to keep the monster feed, so it leaves the miners alone. If she then leaves the city, she would be a prime suspect too.
- If the opportunity arises, Floria could follow Tassri in the sky. So we can see, how she deals with the dwarf.
- We should then meet with her again in the morning outside the town. We want to leave before the news hits Malor.

Re: Sending Tassri in alone to cut her loose: No. We invited Tassri in for more than just using her to cure Myla and tossing her aside. We promised to treat her decently, and we're not so flippant with our promises.

There's a reason Floria is party leader, and not Myla with her winning personality. And a leader has to make the party work together, even with interpersonal conflicts.

Myla agreed to join us, travel with us, and follow our lead. We've fed her, protected her, rescued her, found someone to fix her mental injuries, and are planning out how to fix her potion sickness. She doesn't get to just kick people out that she doesn't like. She doesn't get to selfishly deny what we're also giving to the others. Yes, we've made mistakes, and we'll probably make more mistakes, but those are our mistakes to make, because sometimes they're not mistakes at all. Yes, we had some issues with Edris that might have been avoided had we listened to Myla and not trusted her; but Myla is also the one who first said we should take Edris with us; so it's not like Myla hasn't made mistakes as well.

Basically, put our foot down. Our team is *ours*, and we're not just kicking people to the curb because they're inconvenient. If we were someone like that, we would have dumped Myla long ago. We could have left Myla's willpower down at "easily managed", but we wanted her to have the strength to deal with all the crap in her head without breaking down. We don't sell out our teammates, leave them conveniently weak, send them on suicide missions, or anything like that. If there are problems between people, then they need to come to Floria to get them resolved, not sit and fester between them, or do this passive-aggressive "I'm not going to be in the same party with her" nonsense.

So: we bring in Tassri and hash this nonsense out right now between the two of them.

Here here!! ^w^ // I agree with this except imagining mylas as she is now hmm well if she does get violent with tassri, tassri doesn't take nonsense and to be honest I'm rooting for tassri XD but I know a lot of people might be mad if myla becomes spider chow, since Myla's willpower is somewhat restored it makes me wonder how effective her magic would be to peacefully prevent a fight as well. I do suppose she could forcibly restrain her from doing something stupid even if that does cost us points in being close to myla ehhh I'm not really down for that kind of relationship anyways either seeing how quick Myla's choosing to leave, how can she expect us to just trust her if it's so important she could at least give us some hint of what it's about.

Honestly I'm really hoping that tassri comes up as being better then what everyone is giving her credit for, yeah a lot of people are expecting backstabbery but hey what if she's the most reliable companion we've had yet aside from bluebell? I wanna make them eat their words so I'm crossing my fingers hoping lol

Wow, ain't that a speech. :D I'm on board for this, and if we lose Mylas because we are willing to stand up for our leadership and those we recruit, then it must be so, sad to say.

Suddenly lose your memory. Entirely.

What? Who is this person? Why are we talking to her? Why are our eyes so huge? Why are we wearing a skirt? This is all terrifying. Cower in the corner and stare at Myla.

(If, er, someone has time to deliver a recap, I'd really appreciate that.)

Seeing as this is your first post, it may be worthwhile to start reading from ARPG 2-1. The story's pretty epic and it's worth getting everything.

Just an observation, but those are Floria's tail feathers, as opposed to a skirt. She was transformed into a harpy by Bluebell (one of her team members) a little while back. ^-^

Amendment: WHY ARE WE A HARPY?

Will do so when I've got a moment. Until then, I shall continue to be hysterical and useless.

Ha! ^-^

We are a harpy because we didn't listen to Myla's correct advice, walked into an obvious ambush, woke up stripped of everything in the wilderness, then befriended a feral harpy (now party member!) with pretty magic lights, who unbirth transformed us into a Desert Harpy.

That's missing alot, like how we personally imploded a stone fortress.. but it covers the jist of our harpy-dom. ^_~
