"Can't argue with that," the ringmaster muttered sourly as he tacked up the third Lion Tamer Wanted sign of the year and the second this week.

Big cat taming is dangerous enough in our world. In mine the big cats are usually intelligent, perfectly capable of swallowing you whole, and know that the audience will gasp and cheer if the last they see of you is a drooping bulge in a big cat's middle. It pays well, though, and some real daredevils even have cats that will swallow them and cough them back up offstage. (The worry is the cat will be in a bad mood one day...).

Others are less lucky and the very first time they step onto the sand with a cat it ends in a burp. Trainees keep showing up, though.

In any event, sticking your head in a big cat's maw is just asking for the rest of you to follow it in. It's a slippery slope, or a slippery gullet anyway. Even a trustworthy cat may succumb to impulse.

Turns out you can build giant lion statues in Fallout 4, which has me thinking about lions again. This was supposed to be a sketch but ended up getting a relatively quick coloring job.

At least the people cleaning the lion cage have lots of work to do and don't run any chance of ending up unemployed.

I mentioned in a previous lion tamer image the the first job of a lion tamer was often to shovel up the remains of his predecessor after they exited the lion. 83

Love it! Great artwork as always.
I'm kind of wondering, though. When are you going to make your next story?

I always have half a dozen stories in the works, usually more. There's no telling when one will be done, though.

I still waiting for the Lion Tamer story. This is, what, the third, fourth? Lion Tamer pic you've done Strega? It's like your teasing us or something lol.

So if you have a strong enough relationship with a nice enough cat, they will let you in and out?
Yay, there is hope.

*blinks, staring at the tawny paunch... and goes to sign up at once* I must nourish the mighty king of beasts... @_____@ *Charline de Lyon has mind-controlled him well*

Also, a world of majestic talking lions who'd love to swallow me alive, and who might even be willing to let me out a few times to enjoy the experience over and over before a final plunge... this is 'dream come true' territory here. XD

The trick, I assume, is to form a meaningful romantic relationship with a studly lion. He gets a loving partner to treat him like the king of beasts that he is, and you get to avoud being eaten. Everyone wins!

This had me thinking of an alternate scenario. It'd be pretty funny if the tamer ate the lion!
