In the Echidna Wars scale of prey-ness that I just made up...
Humans>Birbs> All the other predators.
So, if no other protagonists are available, birbs are the first to substitute them as food sources! ;3

Yup. There are 3 possible reasons for why the naga that got the human is angry:
1- "Hey! We are supposed to be trying to get all the humans! Don't eat people on our side, you gluttonous snek! We'll lose the war against humans if you keep that up!"
2- "Dammit, she's eating the harpy? why didn't I think of that? Now the human I just ate doesn't feel satisfyig at all! I'm so jealous!"
3- "That harpy was my waifu! We were going to make lots of love together! ;w; Why did you eat my birb, you jerk? She was mine!"
