I remember there was a gag planned for the film where Bambi accidentally swallowed a bee and Thumper had to help extract the crabby little insect. I'm kind of sad we didn't see that in the film, but it probably would've been out of place (the bee would've talked out of Bambi's mouth and heard through his ear).
