A wishiwashi school wreaks havoc on the citizens of Tidehold. Nothing seems to stop it from its path of wanton destruction...except for a rather unexpected approach from higher up.

This makes me wonder now, how does a school of Wishiwashi even eat?
I'd assume you get pulled into the nibble-prison or something and get... nibbled to death

I can see three options:
1. It's like you said, and is basically extremely hard vore, with dozens of fish all getting a share.
2. The subdued prey are swallowed by few individuals, who end up extremely bloated.
3. The school form cannot really eat as such, and merely captures and holds the victims.
I hope it's one of the latter two, though the first seems the most likely one.

If it's option 1, then at the very least a lot of the swarm is gonna get satisfied at once with each victim
If it's option 2, then they're probably going to have to clear out the whole city to satisfy every Wishiwashi in there.
Of course there's still 5 more pages coming, so this might very well get answered in the Comic (though considering Fidchell's history, I don't think it'll be Hard Vore, unless it's just implied or something)

Most likely the queen primarina will enchant the whole school with her song and devour the whole bunch, or perhaps share with few others, like her bodyguard.
