With Dark Samus' announcement in Smash Bros Ultimate, my mind became flooded with possibilities for the character. There's so much untapped potential here and I want to get start tapping into it.
Not super polished otherwise I never would have finished it in my current surroundings, but just wanted to get the design down for future use.
Hopefully won't be too long before seeing her in action, so many ideas~
A lot of the design elements were already in my head, and a lot of inspiration for the outfit came from Nitro_Titan's Gretal, but I hope pbysteria doesn't mind me borrowing some elements from their Dark Samus, those alien bits in the suit were brilliant~

Same~ Honestly wish I could've gotten a bit more alien/otherwordly look to her but had no idea how to do it and don't have much freedom to draw stuff like this at the moment.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Dark Samus will look like in Prime 4.
In Prime 2 we saw him very fleshy and biological, the chest plate area was just very stretched fleshy matter tied to the shoulders that held glowy goo. The design looked very feral especially because of the bare feet he had too.

In Prime 3 he looked very evolved, alot less flesh, no more barefoot toes. But for prime 4 what will they do? I think you have a really good idea, Show the next step of evolution as becoming much more human like. Even becoming feminine to mirror the DNA he stole that his evolution is based on. Overall I wouldn't mind this in Prime 4, its a good idea and fits in with the concept of growth and metamorphosis. What you remember being just veins and a skull before has grown and morphed with time into being almost a physical 1 to 1 with Samus herself.
I would suggest giving her a hidden third eye under those bangs though, because the original skull like head had one

I'm 95% sure Dark Samus won't be appearing in Prime 4, it and Phazon's arc wrapped up in 3.
I am considering the third eye but at the same time I'm wondering why Dark Samus even has it it Prime 2 when the Metroid Prime only had two haha.

Well, I thought that at one point too, but after the inclusion in Smash, along with the realization that the game is literally named after him, "Metroid Prime"
I think It's very likely.
And dont forget, he has more than 3 even, Theres a fourth eye on the back of their left hand. And that one was shown in prime 1, so its clear the concept of many eyes was at least not an after thought before prime 2.
Now i just wanna play prime 2 lol
