The final voyage of the JMSDF Kagura was a lot more fun for Selene than it was for the crew. You don't expect to pen the epitaphs for sixty-five officers and men and have to write "Sucked into a giant seal's asshole and digested" and yet here we are.

Worst of all, it took her stomach acids hours to eat their way through the Kagura's hull, and the crew was on the radio the entire time sending out desperate pleas for help and final messages to their families.

Kagura was one of three JMSDF ships to attempt to defend the whaling station and each met a similar slimy digestive fate, but at least the other two went in the top way. Poor Kagura was the only one to serve as a sex toy as it was devoured, an honor previously granted to several dolphins and at least one orca when Selene was a smaller predator.
