The predators and prey of the City have left the wilderness behind for civilization. Yet in the urban jungle, survival is a daily contest and measure of self-worth, where those who fail to make ends meet become meat for others. The City’s rulers insist the system is perfect, but seams have begun to appear in the form of Ferals, predators unwilling to conform.

Samantha and Daniel are a fox and mouse living together after the former spared the latter’s life during her first hunt as a child. Samantha has tried to live a life free of killing as a result of her friendship and compassion, but her predatory side grows stronger as she matures and resisting her inner nature grows more difficult by the day, and the City’s system will soon test her resolve like never before.
