Sae won't truly digest him. That'd mean she'd get nothing and couldn't be promoted. Might even get demoted since they wanted to kill Kurusu and Sae eating him would throw a gigantic wrench in that. Makoto and others have probably not been eaten since Sae doesn't look like she's digested anyone else and she isn't aware of who they are exactly.

Yes actually. They wanted to kill him under particular circumstances to frame it as Suicide. Now though, they can’t really do that since it’s gonna be pretty obvious where he ended up. They could still try and it could work potentially, but it’ll be more difficult this way.

I have a hard time believing it would raise the difficulty by any considerable margin. They can still fabric it to look like suicide, because they wouldn't need any, like, footage of it.

Yeah but given the plan they had, they’d probably have to shift it slightly. Not enough for it to fall through, but an unpleasant disruption. Plus they’d probably have to do something about Sae Nijima
