I apologize for the delay friends, and doubly apologize for the short, simplified chapter. I was still busier than I thought I'd be this week, but I promised myself I'd get another chapter out this week. Hopefully, I can settle into a better rhythm. there was just a ton of new content this week, so it took me awhile...

Use all souls on the hydra, recuit the most rare monster we currently have the option of doing, and keep talking to the man. Trying to catch or kill him will bring more trouble then just talking in my opinion

Looks fine to me.
Choices:
Good: C and A not specifically in that order. Unlike in the mobile game, traps actually seem useful here, so upgrading and getting a new one sounds fun.
Souls: Hydra and Titan. That way we can see if one is better than the other. I like the acolyte, he's doing great work so far, so I'd like to keep him. As such, upgrading these two and testing them in battle will help decide which one to choose.
Reputation: C. Slime and satyr have both proven to be decent. Alternatively, saving up for something amazing would be good too, we seem to be in a good position, as is.
Mysterious Figure: B. If we can catch him, we can keep talking to him, so if successful, we get B and C in one. We won't die, if he can be trusted on the "if we kill you directly, the end comes quicker" part.
Demon: as I mentioned above, until we know how good the Titan and Hydra are, we can't really choose to sacrifice them. What if we need their power? For now, upgrade them, and hope for a chance to see them in action.

Also, I've seen others mention that it's harder to read combat, but i say don't worry about it too much. Experiment.
Worst case, they might have to skip to the parts that describe the backend mechanics like i usually do. I don't usually pay attention to the parts about "A hit B for X damage".
I skim, and read the bits of decoration and action you add here and there.
Also, looking back through, i didn't have much trouble following combat.

Ah, youthful optimism and heroic idealism. I like the princess already. She'll be a lot of fun later. Any letters we send out need to be delivered by our enhanced shadow beast... 100% escape chances make for the perfect messenger. :3
Gold: 1 Extra room: 300 gold, and 1 defensive item: 200 gold. Save 100. (Secretly hoping for a phoenix beak for spawn of evil :3 )
Souls: Split the souls for the Titan and Hydra. 2 for each.
Reputation: E, lizard is dragon type and I want to see the Fanatic and Minotaur in action.
Story: I don't much like any of these options for the Mystery messenger. Killing him will likely make our captor either very happy... or pissed we didn't tell him about it. I doubt Capturing him will be easy since he just seems to fade from existence at will... I'm just going with C. Keep talking to the douche, if our "boss" wont tell us things maybe we can convince this dunce to do so.
Demon: Trading 3 double enhanced rares for a a thingy in a box? .... sure. But the items inside better be some broke ass, overpowered shit to be worth it. ;)

Gold. Get another room, we're quickly running out of space. Save the rest.
Boost the hydra and titan with the souls.
Not to sell their souls, they will be useful on their own. Plus trusting demons is just a bad idea, all of what the demon said is likely true but what he didn't say is the problem. They could easily just be random junk the demon is shilling, hyping it up out of prepotion.
E for monsters. Honestly we don't need the horned lizard the other two might be interesting though. Maybe we can feed the lizard to the titan or hydra, how are we keeping up with food and water for all of them?
Might need an option later to reject hiring to save rep, maybe by claiming they're all too weak.
B. Try to capture the man, he's watching us so don't state any plan or intent to capture him out loud. This goes the same if killing him gets chosen.
Now as for the chapter itself, eh. I know its easier for you doing it the way you did it but combat is more difficult to follow, it might just take some getting used to though.
I also could not be more glad we turned up the difficulty by capturing the princess. We are increasing in strength about five times faster then the adventures I know the guy keeps telling us not to get cocky and that's a good idea but I'd like them to get past the first room for no other reason then to at least see what our other monsters can do. And it's looking like they can only do that if there is multiple groups and they can't all fit in that room.
I'm tempted to suggest sending a letter to this guild to taunt them. But this wasn't a party from them technically in an official capacity so they might be preparing something more.

Well, perhaps I'll reconsider my difficulty curve in the future, but I have a feeling part of the problem is that I may have overtuned the mind-eater.

Considering power level, he may need restrictions like can't be in the front X rooms "needing a solitary place to study" or something like that?

He is incredibly strong, and he is only going get stronger with each blank too. With the way he's built to just create an army, there are ways to do it, lower health or a fifty percent chance not to be able to attack while eating.
Right now I think he could take on any team short of one that has counter measures just to resist that control.
But honestly there isn't anything wrong with having an over powered critter, it can be fun. Just there is a limit where its too much.
Maybe if we recruit stronger monsters we could have adventurers who are looking for specifically them kitted out to match, basically monster hunters. And they being the reason these powerful beasts and monsters felt the need to get the protection and ability to come back from the dead we offer.
But that's just an idea.

Gold: A. Upgrade Random Basic Trap (400) + C. Place New Random Basic Trap in the Dungeon (160) = 560 total
Souls: 2 souls each for the Titan & Hydra.
Reputation: E.
Story: Mysterious Figure - I would say B. Try to capture him. I doubt this will succeed, but if it does it would be good to be able to offer him to our 'Master'.
Demon Deal - I don't know about this... 2 enhanced rare minions is a pretty huge investment, and I don't see it being likely that what we get will be worth it, but I guess we'll wait and see what happens next chapter.
As far as the chapter itself, it's fair that you formatted it this way since you've been busy and needed to catch up, but yeah the formatting in combat does make it quite a bit harder to read for me, and missing out on any minion vore scenes was a bit disappointing. Hope you can find a style that compromises between the two next chapter.

C and H, a new basic trap (laundry chute) and a new room.
Enhance the Hydra and the Titan by one stage each, 2 souls per.
Recruit option D, I'm curious as to what a hero Lure is.
Continue to talk with the mysterious White-Eyed man. Knowledge is power.
Let's not take the deal just yet, we can wait a little longer.
