Yes, I created an entire OC just to take advantage of a REALLY corny pun. I'm probably not the first, and I likely won't be the last.
Taking and making orders on a daily basis, Jo is a pretty popular lady at the little roadside diner she works at. Plenty of regulars stop by in the morning and evening, but most are tourists passing through after they heard about the best meals in town and the gal that makes them. Folks that stop by are greeted with a big smile... and a big gut, as Jo loves eating food just as much as she loves making it. A hearty belch echoing through the diner after Jo's lunch break is all part of the atmosphere for the locals. ...It's also around the time where the place is the most populated, oddly enough...
Art by crosscrescent, character belongs to me.
I still have no idea/recollection of where the "Eat at Joe's" gag featured in various cartoons originates from, someone in the comments will probably point it out.

I remember it being in an old thanksgiving cartoon, was on a signboard set worn by a bear. Found it https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/video/bear-eats-pilgrim-and-turkey-stock-video-footage/156728185

I remember that, but I believe the gag existed prior to that one.
Also I am now 75% tempted to have Jo re-enact this.

I'm not sure i sign board will fit around her. She may need to paint it directly on her belly and she could have "I'm Jo" written on the back of her jeans/leggings

How’s this?

First instance if the gag itself I can locate is from 1937 in the Merrie Melodie “Plenty of Money and You”, though it was Eat at Sloppy Joe’s, which is a specific place. Regular EAJ seems to have started in 1939’s “Fresh Fish”.
