Well he has leather and metal armor. So he can weather a bullet or two but higher caliber will do a number n him

Big mountain nightstalkers are evil. They detect you through stealth at huge distances and hit so hard they pretty much break a limb every time they snap at you. I had to develop tactics to fight them I didn’t normally need, sniping just didn’t work. 83

Back away and shoot, or back away and swipe with one of the longer melee weapons works. They are much less of a problem for a tough melee type than they are for a fragile sniper not used to being in close combat.
