Jessica panted as she caught her breath, looking behind her down the dark alleyway to see her pursuers starting to slow, their formerly fast and ravid movements turning sluggish as they got out of range of whatever was controlling them. They weren't human, not anymore, shambling corpses brought back to life by some mutation of a recently discovered and subsequently widespread drug, or so she heard. Straightening out her long blonde ponytail, the woman began moving again, towards a familiar mega mart as she wondered if anyone else from her group was still alive.
Before the world went to hell weeks ago, Jessica was an entomologist, working at the lab that now became their fortifications. With it being equipped to be self sufficient, the higher ups had no qualms locking the lab down the moment reports of the rising dead came through. But all resources won’t last forever, which was why Jessica was out here. She and another were the only two that had a good idea of the local area, living within walking distance of their place of work. A pang of sadness shot through her heart as she thought of the other, her best friend and schoolmate, who both signed up to work at the lab together, Jolene.
Jolene was unfortunately a victim of a nasty prank by an intern, who put extracted biomatter from the insects they were experimenting on into her morning coffee. The reaction was extremely violent and the woman had to be sent to the hospital for treatment. The intern was fired on the spot, and Jessica was hearing that Jolene was recovering, before communications were cut. Later reports pointed at one of the many many origin points of the undead were the morgues of the various hospitals throughout the land, the one Jolene was in not exempted.
Jessica exited the alleyway, wiping a tear from her eye as her view went toward the looming mega mart. The streets were eerily silent, with no signs of any zombies roaming about. An oddity for sure, as she had overheard that the other marts in the area that the scouts found were swarming with the undead. Regardless of the lack of danger, Jessica kept on her guard as she moved to her destination, a bit too focused on upright and standing threats that she failed to notice a legless zombie hiding underneath a car she walked past.
Jessica let out a surprised cry as the zombie grabbed her leg, pulling its torso from under the car as it sank its teeth into her leg. Her legs gave way, and she tried to crawl away, but the bisected creature was persistent, gripping on to her tightly as it ripped out her achilles tendon. Panicking, she just kicked and kicked, trying to push the zombie away but to little success. She was starting to lose hope when a being crashed into the offending creature, tearing it limb from limb and messily consuming it.
Being a good meter taller than the truck it so happened to be beside, the creature looked like a praying mantis growing out of a person. It stood on 3 pairs of strong but stick-like legs, coming out from the hips where the human’s former legs should be and each ending with a four pronged claw that grips tightly to the ground.. A big abdomen is fused with the flesh that used to be the person’s butt, swollen till there are visible gaps in the chitinous plating revealing the bright blue fluid within. There is visible ripping of the skin on the back of the creature, fist sized vertebrae can be seen poking out the back of the creature, the human torso of the creature lengthened from the growth. The torso itself is covered with a flexible plating that looks like needles intersecting, sprouting from below the arms and running all the way to the hips. With the creature not noticing any dangers, it relaxes, and the plating opens up, looking akin to a milipiede’s legs fanning out, revealing a pair of sizable and soft human breasts, and a rather intimidating and gaping slit at the creature's groin, revealing the creature’s gender. The former human’s arms are somewhat unchanged, save for scales of chitin, and the hands being covered in the same material with long claws at the end. It seems to be not enough, as under the arms and sprouting from the side of the ribcage are two mantis like sickles that tuck neatly to its side just behind where the needle like armor starts, coming out to slice off the limbs of the zombie it is preying upon. Finally, the head has two massive insectile eyes and a set of mandibles that cover the jaw, looking like a sleek hard mask, crushing through flesh and bone with each move of the enhanced maw.
Jessica watched in horror as the creature greedily consumed the zombie, scared to even make a sound lest the creature’s attention turns to her. Unfortunately, it wasn’t long before the creature finished its meal, bringing its hands to massage its bulging belly full of zombie meat as its little leg like covering rhythmically runs down its body. It freezes when it looks over to Jessica, slowly moving closer towards the cowering human, staring at her with its insectile eyes. It stops when it gets face to face with her, before suddenly jumping back and doing some kind of weird dance on the spot. Jessica was obviously confused, and even more so when the creature stops its dance to grab her in a hug, opening its mandibles to reveal a human mouth that leaves a bloody lip mark when it kisses her on the cheek.
After the bloody kiss, the creature put Jessica back down and rubbed its head against her chest. She would have giggled at the strangely endearing sight, if the movement of the creature didn’t agvirate the wound she got from the zombie earlier. Instead, she let out a cry of pain, causing the creature to stop and look down, noticing the pooling blood at Jessica’s feet. Its mandibles open once more, and from the human mouth slides out a probocus that the creature uses to slurp up the blood. When the blood and grime was cleaned from the wound, the creature;s bloated abdomen suddenly clenched, and the creature vomited the blue sticky fluid it was holding all over her leg. The act grossed Jessica out, but the pain vanished as soon as the fluid touched her, giving her an inkling of what the creature was carrying.
With the pain no longer bothering her, she looks up towards the creature with a thankful smile. As she moves her arms out to the side, the creature lunges forward once more, giving her a proper hug this time as she giggled, thinking back to her overly grabby friend. This time, however, the creature doesn’t let go, hugging her close for easily a minute, rubbing it's hard mandible against her face. Its fun was interpreted by the groans of a group of zombies drawn by Jessica’s earlier cries. The creature hisses at the zombies, Jessica unable to even let out a peep as the needle-like armor closes in around her, squishing her against the soft flesh of the creature as it flees.
-----------------------
The creature runs and runs with Jessica still in tow, her body starting to feel sweaty from being in the enclosed space, her face squished up against the creature’s breasts, feeling the creature’s stomach quickly melt down the flesh it consumed into nutrients. With the bulging belly diminishing, the pressure holding Jessica in her current position lessens, and she gasps as she slides lower, away from the fleshy gags that muffed her and towards a soft, moist and most importantly warm slit that slides over her feet. The creature, having made enough distance, began climbing up one of the apartment buildings to where it had made its lair, using its hands and legs to reach into footholds it had carved into the concrete. The shift in gravity, however, made Jessica slip even further, and she could feel her legs sliding deeper, each pull from the creature sending her down even further. The creature lets out a pleased hiss as it feels pleasure welling up inside it, and eagerly climbs up the wall, wanting to get to the safety of its lair to play with the human it captured.
---------------------------
By the time the creature arrived in its lair, Jessica was waist deep in the creature’s slit, squirming and trying to get free, but only adding more pleasure to the experience. She could feel her legs poking into the fleshy sac of the creature’s torso and despite feeling a calming feeling as her feet soaked in the fluid, didn’t want to slide deeper. The creature laid out in the somewhat ruined apartment, opening its armor to let Jessica flop out, the woman using this orpunity to crawl free of her fleshy prison. The first thing Jessica does the moment she is free is examine her legs, which had spent minutes within the creature. Her earlier suspicions were confirmed when she finds her legs in a much better condition, with no signs of the crippling wound she received earlier. She twists and turns her foot, feeling the tendon that was ripped out back and in working order. She surmised it really is an extract of the plant of which the world ending drug was made from. The creature meanwhile waits patiently for the human to relax, laying down atop a surprisingly well kept king sized bed, but barely fitting on it.
Seeing the creature leave Jessica to her own devices, the human decides to explore the lair, the first thing that catches her attention was the lack of the floor above, completely demolished most likely to make some head room for the creature. Looking out of the balcony, she estimates them to be on the 13th floor of the building, and entering the lobby confirmed that assumption with the signage. The staircase leading down was completely destroyed, and the ones leading up to the roof too unstable looking for Jessica to brave. Exploring an adjacent room, she finds the whole room to be something like a nest, massive orbs of blue jelly looking akin to eggs from a sci-fi horror film she saw fill the room. With no way to get in further without disturbing what seems to be eggs, she continues exploring, finding little of note in the other rooms. Her mind wanders to the possibility of the creature being a mutant rather than a zombie when she returns to the apartment that the creature calls home. It was a rather quaint house that struck her with a hint of familiarity. Jolene had lived in an apartment around the area, and Jessica assumed the contractors used the same template.
That assumption changed when Jessica returned to the creature. It was lazing about on the bed, holding a picture frame and stroking the fragile glass carefully, its mandibles open to show a smile on its human lips. It then looked up, right at Jessica and excitedly rushed over, showing her the picture. It was a nostalgic picture, one of Jessica and Jolene after they had graduated from school. Jessica looked up at the creature, and was about to question where it had got it, when it pointed at Jolene, and then at itself, repeating the gesture a few times for emphasis.
Jessica stood in shock as the realization hit her. No wonder the room looked familiar. It was Jolene’s home, and the one before her being her friend, completely mutated by the plague that ravaged the population. “J-jolene? You still remember me?” She asks hesitantly, and the creature lets out a cheerful sounding chirp before embracing the woman in another hug. Relieved to have met her friend again, she leaned into the hug, and nuzzled up against the well endowed breasts, one of the many things enhanced from the mutation. The creature then lets out a bunch of chirps and clicks, looking at Jessica expectantly before realising that the human couldn’t understand a word. Feeling a bit annoyed by the communication barrier, the creature put a confused Jessica down, and went to the other apartment, having a way to solve its issue, but not exactly wanting to resort to it.
Jessica followed Jolene out of curiosity, seeing her friend turned monster’s bulging abdomen squeeze and pulse, the fluid within being compacted as Jolene squeezed through the doorway. By the time the massive creature gets into the room, its abdomen looks as it should, with no hint of the blue fluid. The creature then turns around, pointing the tip of its abdomen into the room and sits down on the ground, waiting. Jessica climbs over her friend’s shoulder, curious to see what she is doing, and watches in surprise as the mounds of blue jelly begin to steadily get smaller, as something consumes the massive stockpile. She continues to watch as she lays down atop the abdomen, feeling it to be surprisingly comfortable despite the chitinous platings, while Jolene rocks her abdomen gently.
About an hour later, Jessica jolts awake, realising that she somehow got lulled to sleep by the rocking. She looks at the room, now completely devoid of any signs of the blue jelly. Feeling Jessica wake, Jolene reaches behind her to pick her friend up, the woman careful not to squirm and accidentally cut herself on her friend’s claws. On Jolene’s shoulder, sits a small worm, and after putting the human down in front of her, she points to the worm, then to Jessica’s nose, then makes a gesture with her hands, clasping a finger and pushing the finger through the hole with some visible effort, then finally pointing at Jessica’s head, and making a talking motion with her hands.
Jessicia stood there for a moment, processing the signage her friend displayed. Wondering if she really wants to have that tiny worm crawl into her. She was admittedly rather curious about the worm, assuming it was somehow made within Jolene with the help of the miracle extract.. Sighing, she hesitantly nodeed, deciding to trust her friend turned monster, and she couldn’t help herself but giggle when her friend started doing that weird dance again, hitting her head against the ceiling and breaking through it.
After the creature moved both Jessica and the worm to the more comfortable bedroom, with the woman on the bed and creature looming over her.Jessica shivers as she feels the small worm placed upon her face, to which Jolene reassures her friend by gently patting her on the head. The worm then begins entering her nose, and she feels a slight bit of pain before she is hit by a wave of strange pleasure. Her body twitches and squirms as the worm burrows through her flesh and skull, sealing the hole it made by excreting the healing fluid.
Jessica’s mind goes blank as the worm enters her skull, massaging the precious organ gently with its body, sending an osgasmic wave through her body with each little touch. As soon as it started, however, it was over, as the worm found a good spot on the organ to attach to, and more or less fuses with her brain. Jolene was concerned when Jessica passed out from the pleasure, completly soaking her pants and the bed with her sexual fluids, and carefully cradles the unconscious human as she recovers.
Jessica groans as she wakes, feeling something long and soft beside her and hugging it instinctively, nuzzling up against it.
“Jessica? Are you awake?” A familiar voice calls out, as the woman grunts, feeling exhausted and wanting to sleep some more. “Come on, wake up….. At least tell me you are alright.” The voice pleads, and Joanne’s eyes slowly open when she feels a hard hand on her head. Before her, embraced by her arms, is the abdomen of the creature Jolene became. Her mutated friend is looking down at her with a hand on her head, and a visible smile on her human lips as they lock eyes. “Can you hear me, Jessica?” She hears Jolene’s voice ask, and she nods in reply, giggling as she notices excitement on what’s left of her friend’s human features.
Finally able to talk to someone, Jolene began chatting non-stop. Lamenting about her fight for survival back in the hospital when the zombies first came, then her fear as she encountered her first feeding frenzy, barely stopping herself from rending apart a still human nurse in the chaos. Her eventual regain of control and using her new form to clear out the areas where they frequent while also building up her power, her being the reason for the low number of zombies around both the lab and mall.Jessica meanwhile added a few words about her own bid for survival, letting Jolelne know about the food situation back at the lab, it being the reason for her being out here. Jolene’s rambling stops when she hears Jessica’s stomach rumble, a blush appearing on the human’s face. Jolene laughs, her mandibles clicking together as she gets up, opening a cupboard to get a can of baked beans, slicing it open easily with her sickle like claws and handing it to her friend. “There is the whole mart full of preserved food. I kinda only eat zombies now, so help yourself~”. She says, before going out and hunting for some food for herself.
-------------------------
Now alone, Jessica tries to get her thoughts in order as she eats the cold can of beans. Her friend is alive as this warm mutant instead of a cold zombie, but as lively as she ever was. She is glad that her friend hasn’t changed at all mentally, still wanting to help but being way too enthusiastic about it. She finds it endearing, but understands why others found it simply annoying. Her only concern is convincing the others that Jolene is still herself, worried that they would just shoot her out of fear. Her mind continues to wander as she finishes her beans, and she lays atop the bed, thinking about more recent things, a blush forming on her face as she had the sudden vivid thought of herself sliding down into her friend’s slit.
She jolts up from the bed and tries to shake the thought from her head, unaware that Jolene was also thinking of the same thing, the link between them created by the worm that was implanted sharing Jolene’s desires with her. The urge slowly began building as Jessica recalled how warm her legs felt when she slid in, and by the time the creature returned to her lair, the human had convinced herself that she wouldn’t be doing it for pleasure, but for survival, as the lack of any proper warmth or even any blankets in the lair might mean her freezing to death at night, and Jolene was oh so warm…
The sun had set when Joleen returned to her lair, making sure to go to the nearby lake to clean herself off first after realising that she had dried blood on her lips. She found Jessica huddled on the bed, shivering as the cold winds howled through the holes in the walls, the human rushing over to hug the much warmer creature. “D-don’t y-you have any blankets?!? I-it's freezing here!” Jessica exclaims as she nuzzles up against Jolene’s warm body, dangerously close to the twitching slit. “I don’t. Never felt cold here before ....” Jolene replies, looking down at Jessica with concern and desire, resisting the urge to push her in. “W-well, you took me here, a-at least keep me warm, you dummy.” Jessica coos, sticking her hand into the slit much to the creature’s surprise. “Like here… s-so warm~”
Jolene couldn’t believe it as her friend began pulling herself into her slit, shivering as the cold human entered her warm folds. Jessica smiled to herself as she began stripping within her friend's pussy, letting her clothes flop to the already slick floor, and began crawling deeper. Jolene cries in pleasure as Jessica hits all her new sensitive spots, working her way into her fluid filled sac of the abdomen, enjoying every moment of it. It wasn’t long before Jessica felt the fluid, squeezing through a ring of muscle and entering the azur bath awaiting her.
Jolene gasps as Jessica pushes her way fully into her abdomen, looking behind to see the woman getting comfortable through the semi transparent flesh. Jessica, meanwhile, was extremely comfortable, finding the warm fluid she is in to be almost spa like. Soaking in the concentrated chemical wouldn’t be an issue, Jessica rekonds, as it will keep her healthy with no known side effects that occurred during one’s life. With her own self reassurance, she relaxes in the warm confines of Jessica’s abdomen, falling asleep as the very same chemical that caused Jolene’s change is completely enveloping her body. the creature in question, meanwhile, starts to feel a hunger welling up within her.
Jolene looked out of the hole as her abdomen began churning, much like when she created the worm that is now implanted in Jessica’s head. She could feel the fluid she collected begin infusing into her friend, and was worried that she would end up like her, breaking her only chance at getting back amongst humans. There is little she can do, however, save for cutting herself open. But as she looked through her abdomen to see Jessica’s smile on her sleeping face, she banished the thought of self mutilation. Sighing, Jolene went back out, looking to find the few strangler zombies still in her territory, approaching the lab from the rooftops and saw a scene that could be used to her advantage. In the distance, she can hear the sound of gunfire, a small band of humans almost completely surrounded by the dead, save for a much thinner line which so happens to be on their path to safety in the direction of where she is perched. She recognised this game of life and death, one favoured by one of her more undead neighbours. Knowing it, it wants to follow the humans to their base, then devourer everyone within. She dare not interfere when the others did it on its own turf, but they are already on her land and moving further in. The encroachment on her territory, her hunger and the fact the band is most likely people she knew when she was human, spurred her to action. Before she goes off to rescue them, however, she feels she needs to prepare a peace offering for the humans, just in case severing the head of the undead horde isn’t enough.
Jolene licks her lips as she looks around the ruined mega mart, a big tarp slung over her back which was more or less what remains of a tent that was on display at the sports shop. She browsed the various canned goods, taking them at random while giving them a glance, resisting the urge to cut them open and feast. With strained willpower, she eventually bagged up enough food to last a long while, and tied her “little gift” up with bundles of electrical tape. With her present now in tow, she rushes off to the lab, eager to begin the feast.
--------------------
Ivan was a simple man, who liked simple things. Being the head of security, it was a simple job of keeping the zombies out. And what he didn’t like were complications, something he would grumble a lot on this seemingly simple job of going to the relatively clear shopping mall to get food. First, the only one that knows the general layout of the place got separated from the group by a horde of zombies and is most likely a shambling corpse by now. Second, they were forced to move further away from their objective or safety by the horde. At least he and his crew didn’t lose anyone to the undead, but their resources are starting to get strained. They didn’t bring much food or water with them assuming it to be a simple mission, and now they are tired, hungry and worst yet, running out of ammo with a horde on their tail, though not like the shots can do anything except slow when bullets are being sprayed haphazardly. At least he is starting to see recognisable landmarks, one of the others pointing out the bus stop they used to stop at when they went to work.
Following the new guide, Ivan looked behind to assess the horde after them. A literal tide of shambling corpses, and something big following them far in the back, it’s silhouette barely visible in the moonlight. He can hear the creature’s howls even at that distance, a sound that has been plaguing them ever since their first guide was singled out. It was clearly the brains of the attack, and he wondered why it hadn't commanded its minions to just end them already. The horde clearly had the numbers, and seeing the initial attack, clearly had the speed to overtake them. It was as if they were being herded like cattle, and the very thought of that sent a shiver down his spine.
The group’s morale was raised when they walked into the intersection, the bright lights of the lab illuminating their path to safety. Without needing any orders, the group moves towards it, shooting any zombies that get too close in the knees to stop their advance, as even a headshot is easily shrugged off by them unless you sever the spine. Which is exactly what happens as they get closer to the lab, Ivan unable to hide his smile as deadly accurate semi-automatic rifle fire comes from the roof of the lab. Perched atop it is the lab’s second in command, younger brother of the head and some would call crazed gun nut, Francis. He is the only reason why the lab was so well stocked with weapons, kept in the basement of the lab, and his skill with his armaments were no joke either.
With the way cleared, the group rushed towards the lab.Francis kept watch on the horde through the scope of his sniper rifle, taking random but accurate shots at any zombies that got too close. His eyes widened as he caught sight of the hulking beast that commands the horde, looking like a two storey tall version of werewolves from folklore, with thick, blood soaked fur covering its body. a vicious howl escapes its lupine maw before it looks towards the humans with a grin, clearly eager to finally finish off this little game.
Francis’ look of surprise quickly shifted to excitement, taking his eyes off his scope to look down at his private collection of firearms beside him, ranging from handguns to rifles and even a few anti tank weaponry, all bought long before the whole mess even started and lovingly maintained. With the appearance of what he assumes to be the head of the horde, he placed down his rifle to take his prized possession, an anti tank rifle he had acquired from illicit means, a “still in testing” weapon chambered in a round that was was twice the size of a 50.cal, with the stopping power to match. Having maintained his “baby” whenever he could during his down time, he was certain his scope was calibrated properly, and took aim at the hulking creature’s head, pulling the trigger.
A loud boom echoed through the streets, the recoil alone sending the untested gun out of Francis’s hand and landing to his side, a massive bruise appearing on his shoulder as he looked at the creature with his binocolous. He wanted to cheer when he saw the creature’s head tilted back from the impact, but it got caught in his mouth when the lupine creature brought its head back, the wound the massive bullet caused clear as day in between its bloodshot eyes. With an enraged howl, it commanded the horde to kill them all, the ground literally shaking from the fury of footsteps.
Just as all hope was lost, an insectile figure dropped down from above the lupine creature, sinking its sharp sickle like claws into the distracted creature’s throat and using the momentum of its fall to spin around the lupine’s massive form, landing on its shoulders as its head slid off. With the sudden removal of their controller, the horde fumbles, the zombies closer to the lab and furthest from the commanding creature the first to feel the effects of the cut, their legs locking up as they get plowed down by the faster zombies behind them, causing a massive pile up of mangled bodies and giving the humans enough time to get to the lab and barricade the doors. Part of the horde closest to the lupine creature tries to get at the corpse, but the mantis-like creature easily dispatches the zombies, before taking the head and carrying it up to the roof of the building.
Francis watches in surprise as it all happens, then horror as he realises the mantis moving towards the lab itself. With his shoulder damaged from the recoil of his gun, he could do nothing as the creature landed on the roof, looking at him as it clicked its mandibles. He was so distracted by the creature’s form that he almost didn’t notice the creature dropping a tarp full of something right next to him, before jumping back off and begin attacking the zombies that are once again crowding around the lupine’s corpse, dragging its prize up to the roof to join its head.
With that encounter passed, Francis gathered his bearing and looked around with his binoculus, realising that the zombie horde had recovered, but are more interested in trying to get up the building where the mantis is than attack the lab. He then examined the tarp, and was once again surprised when he saw various cans of preserved foods. Seeing the mantis kill the horde’s leader, then gifting them food, made him laugh out loud, harder than he ever had since this whole mess started. When Ivan met up with him to ask the situation, he shared the good news, and pointed at the mantis creature that was still atop the building, gleefully eating away at the lupine’s corpse. Ivan didn’t want the trouble of explaining the thoughts of the creature, and decided, with Francis’s agreement, that they should lie about their failed expedition, covering up the involvement of the creature.
-------------------------
Jolene rubbed her belly gleefully as she relaxed atop the rooftops, the rising sun greeting her, illuminating the bloodstained roof that was all that remained of the insolent dog that invaded her territory. Her belly went into overdrive, processing the chemical rich undead mutant into more fluid to enfuse Jessica with. Looking down she could still see quite a sizable horde of undead, still in their futile attempts at getting the meal that now resides in her belly. With a huff, she got up and decided to help clean up the mess the dog made, reaping the head off the fowl undead with a careless flick of her underarm sickles, as she looked towards the humans huddled atop the lab. She decides to give the humans a wave, before resuming her work, chuckling at herself at their fearful but ultimately non-hostile reactions. Of course, the humans, Francis and Ivan included, were weary of the creature that is easily culling the horde that is still surrounding them, but considering it hasn’t shown hostility and instead even helped them twice whether knowingly or not made them lower their guard somewhat.
Jolene’s harvest continued for a few days, the horde thinned to the point the humans could safely leave their barricades, though they didn’t dare stray far. Jolene herself returned to her home after the zombies were almost all gone in the area, cuddling her abdomen as she stares at Jessica’s smile, her own instincts telling her that whatever her body is doing to her friend is almost complete. Unable to see any visible changes, she laid on her bed and relaxed, her abdomen still churning, completing the final parts of the infusion as she slumbered. The next morning Jolene woke up to contractions in her abdomen, letting out a cry of surprise as she got off the bed, rushing to the more padded but empty gel storage room. Laying her abdomen against the floor, she pushed, and Jessica began sliding out of her body.
Jessica awoke with a pleased yawn, rubbing her eyes from the best sleep she ever had, smiling as she looks up to Jolene. “How are you?” Jolene asks, as she hugs the woman.
“Feeling amazing. Best sleep I ever had~”
“Well, considering how long you were in me… It wouldn’t be surprising.”
“Wait… how long was I in you?” Jessica asks, her relaxed face slowly turning to one of concern.
“T-two weeks. My body did something to you while you were in me too, keeping you asleep while it pumped you full of the chemical.” Jolene explains. “I’m not sure why, but I also was feeling ravenous while you were in me, making me want to hunt more zombies than usual and produce more of the chemicals.”
Jessica looks down at her body, trying to find any mutations, but only seeing her veins being a more visible blue, which had already slowly begun fading. “W-what did it do to me?”
“I’m not sure… but I don’t think it is anything like mine, at least taking myself into consideration. Not even a day after that prank, I could feel these arms and abdomen growing out.” Jolene replies, flexing her scythes as she does. “If anything, the changes might be more internal than external… which is good considering I do want to go live with others with you.”
Jessica nods in agreement. “Well, I think it is safe enough that I can go back. Shall we go?”
And so, the two make their way back to the lab, Jessica wearing her old clothes which were left behind when she slipped into Jolene and riding on the woman’s abdomen, hugging her hips from behind. Of course, they create quite an uproar on their arrival, their old co-workers being quite surprised at the tale. It all clicked when Francis and Ivan told the rest of what the sniper saw, and the truth about the expedition for food that saved their lives. Jolene, using Jessica as her interpreter, then told them that she would be living closer now, excited to be with her friends again.
As time passed, Jessica would find that she was rather hard to wound, her body similar in resilience to the many undead that Jolene had slain. Meanwhile, more and more survivors find the lab, the community slowly building up into a self-sustaining settlement, with walls to keep out the still roaming undead. A great insectile protector and her interpreter and lover defending the common folks from the dangers outside. One of the few guarded settlements that cropped up after the world ended.

That was pretty cool. I quite enjoyed all the gory details, really makes it feel post apocalyptic. Less morbid than the last one too id say so pretty good all around

amour, as in secret love. Kinda hinting at their secret lesbian love.

Along with the first this makes me imagine a RTS game, the great mother and her absolutly loyal, expansionistic empire, these original scientists using their superior understanding of the extract to augument themselves into part animal superhumans, probably a faction of shapeshifters ala shogoths, bioarchitects taking turns to be seemingly normal humans and attaching to their meaty yet plantlike arcologies to control them, and the various regular human factions. Conflict would stem from ideological conflict and the dwindling supply of the omnipresent mindless zombies. Sell it on steam for 30$ a pop, I'd buy it. BTW have you looked at Mortasheen? You might like it.

Heh, ya. It does have an RTS feel to it. Though with the technical sequel in the works, it could also be an RPG, a loner type of elite, which was kinda what Jolene was doing before she reunited with Jessica
