back when I worked with some witches, one of them told me how witches and brooms became associated. apparently, they used to rub a salve - I think it was hallucinogenic - on brooms and then grind their vagains against it to absorb the salve into their bloodstream. assuming that's accurate, then this image is accurate to witch history.
