This has been one of my favorite scenarios for years. The predator fails at either swallowing the prey or keeping them down, but eventually succeeds in doing both after however many subsequent attempts it takes. Nice work!

I'm sad that I didn't notice the gory aspect until it was too late.
It's awesome to see a feral growlithe eating someone and if there were a non-half-digested edit that'd have been so goooood
