Whenever I play a Pokemon game, I only make it about halfway or so. Not only because I have to play in short spurts - so it'd take a year or two to really finish one - but I find the games get a little repetitive...
Still, I love the monsters and environments. I always think of my trainer character as more of a ditzy wannabe who spends a bit more time exploring towns and shopping (cause, in a typical play session, I do...) than actually training. Eventually her adventure is cut short when she's caught and eaten by a wild Pokemon, or one of her own.
And that's why I never complete Pokemon games!

You should try mystery dungeon titles. I find them to be a e change in the formula. My fave is explorers of sky for ds.

Actually yeah, that's a good idea, I've seen screenshots of those. You play as the Pokemon themselves right? Is it more like a dungeons crawler/puzzler?

It’s a dungeon crawler with very VERY light rpg elements. I haven’t played dx yet but IMO explorers of sky is the best if you have a ds lying around

I have a 3DS - Actually it's my only system, bought it from a student and it had Sun Ultra downloaded already. I'll look up all the Pokemon games that work on it; not sure yet, I really don't play often, and still have yo beat Ocarina of Time 3D and Samus Returns. Wisu I could game like I used to.
Bet I'd like Sword and Shield but no plans to ever own a Switch.

I haven’t really enjoyed gens 6-8 compared to the older games. If you get the chance I highly recommend Heartgold/Soulsilver > Platinum > Black2/White2 > Black/White in that order. For some non Pokémon games I’d say Majora’s Mask 3D, Kid Icarus Uprising, Super Mario 3D Land, and of course Smash bros

Good idea; I did play partway through Heart Gold a few years ago, with an emulator on my phone - I think I should try the black & white games too, should get them. I really liked X & Y when they came out from the trailers, but never played them - was thinking of looking for a cartridge sometime.
For other games, I have Super Mario 3D Land, Kart DS, and Maker (which I've played the most. My favourite gaming thing to do is build my own levels). Then Samus Returns, and OoT 3D. I liked MM, but loved OoT. Still, might get it some day.
I kinda suck in fighting games, used to play Brawl but I was usually fodder for my friends, those girls were friggin vicious!

Completely forgot about Mario maker for the ds. It’s always a blast on switch lol

Augh, the second game looks a lot better, so many more options, but I'll stick to the original for now, I can't get a Switch. It's still a lot of fun, especially because I grew up with those games and always wanted to make my own stuff.

Well there you go then lol. As long as it’s enough to be fun for you that’s all that matters

Yup, that's what the games are there for! These comments got my mind back on Mario Maker, haven't touched it in months. Ended up making two levels before bed!

Don’t play too much... there’re girls to eat!

That's right! I shouldn't waste too much time on games when I could be someone's dinner! Think I should draw more tonight. Maybe another Pokemon

Lickitung always has good potential if you’re looking for suggestions!

Oh ho ho, yes it does! Actually I was thinking of using Lickitung instead of Salazzle in the other pic. But also want to do a short comic with Banette...

So many hungry creatures to feed... it’d be inhumane to let them starve

Love the bulge! And I always love wannabe trainers finding out that wild mon are more dangerous than they thought~
Posted by JuniperBerry 4 years ago Report
Thanks! It's a situation that just writes itself! I always think when some massive, dangerous Pokemon defeats your team, your trainer just walks back safely? Nuh uh, I'd say a lot of em get gobbled up!
Posted by ChaoskampfNunc 4 years ago Report
Exactly! I mean what kind of hungry monster would pass up a free meal as easy as a human ;3

It's out naive wannabe trainers that keep the wild ones fed and the Pokecosystem alive! Isn't nature beautiful?

Sometimes you catch the Ekans and sometimes you get digested because sending unprepared children into the wild can only lead to this. Lol

There's no telling how many have been sent to their doom by all these "friendly" professors!
Posted by RoTheHuman 4 years ago Report
You'd think this would happen to the majority of the pokemon trainers
Posted by JuniperBerry 4 years ago Report
Oooh, perhaps it already does, and only these seemingly kind Pokemon professors are aware of it!
