In Marche's quest to eat out the corruption of the hero's guild, a key part of that job is to find new party members and make 'allies' wherever he can. The more he knows, the more he knows who to consume and who to leave as a good example of heroism. This method was what led him to a partnership with the Elven mage, Tiara Lazuli.

Tiara was level 50 when they met but she had a real ego on her. Marche quickly learned that she delighted in threatening lower level heroes with flashy spells and taking their money, even trying to ransom off people she should be protecting, all with the most smug expression on her face. Marche knew he should keep her around longer to learn more information from her, but the sheer gall of her attitude got his tummy rumbling much faster than any food he'd had in some time.

...that and she was two of his favourite flavours, being both Elven and a Mage. They always tasted great.

So with only a single quest under their belt, the Elf soon found herself beneath Marche's belt and doomed to a fate of her own making. She tried to keep her composure and argue her way out, but no matter the attitude, in the end she resorted to switching between begging and threats, her magic useless to Marche's guts. She had been just as delicious as he'd expected, all sugary and tingling with magical energy like cinnamon on a donut.

Though no matter how good she tasted, Marche knew he'd need to do a lot of coverup. Something he'd think about once his belly was all done with her.
