Marche, devourer of decieving dungeoneers By CadenGallic -- Report

Meet Marche, once a humble naive lad leading a simple life on a farm, before the call of heroism and forces beyond the borders he knew turned him into a cynical snide glutton for the worst he can find. How did this happen?

See, in a world where numbers determine your strength and your health is represented by red bars, a little prophecy predicted that a young lad from a far off town would one day be needed as a great hero to fight against a ressurected Demon Lord unleashing hordes of foulness upon the land. And one day the king's men arrived in Marche's village, proclaiming him to be the hero of legend! He was told to head for the King's lands at once and begin his training. To help him along the way, three other heroes (a mage, a thief and an archer) were to escort him and show him the ropes of heroism and adventuring. And you better believe this young lad was all for it!

...for a few days anyway. Unfortunately his thoughts began to change when he observed the actions of his party members, the way they would threaten townsfolk to get their way, steal from the vendors all whilst demanding better deals from them and posturing like blowhards. Marche was so disgusted and appalled with their behaviour, his very first skill he unlocked was one usually reserved for monsters... the ability to consume others whole. And this skill saw its first use upon his three hapless party members, reducing them to little more than nourishment for the young lad.

After his first true 'taste' of adventuring, Marche continued on by himself and began to ask around about how those three 'heroes' acted. He learned that such actions were quite irritatingly common as the Heroes Guild taught these methods of intimidation and dirty tactics, hiring any thug who wanted some extra gold or prestige to their names. It was at this point Marche decided to abandon his journey to the King's lands and to fight the Demon Lord, giving some poor homeless boy the gold and equipment to go in his place, and instead focused all his effort on the Heroes Guild.

He decided he would eat away at the corruption the guild produced, one band of corrupted adventurers at a time. His voracious skills improved as he leveled up and he began to be able to take temporary buffs and boosts depending on his meals to use spells and skills far too high level for him to become quite an effective hero. And with no end in sight, his work continues, consuming the crooked and sparing those he deems as honest and good heroes.

Which leads to this moment here, packing away another terrible trio into his stomach as he easily strolls out of the dungeon they'd been struggling with, the only work left for him to rest and digest. Who knows where his adventuring appetite will take him next...

Credit goes to  thorstone for this image, I just wanted to upload it with a little story to properly introduce my boy Marche since this is easily one of my favourite designs and characters. Expect to see more of him, there's lots I can do with him!

Acid dot builds for fighters sure are usual but you can't deny the effectiveness of his strategy

Yeah ever since the 5.1 patch it's just been way too easy to abuse, no wonder it's so prevalent!

Serves them right for messing with the townsfolf. Now they're nothing but a bunch of meat waiting to be churned up into boy fat
