Another piece I commissioned from icon:TheGoodSinner, this one was my request from the monthly Patreon reward stream back in April, when the theme of the month was "Belly Jewelry". This is the same pair as seen in "The Customer is Wrong" (https://aryion.com/g4/view/690144) and "Closing Time Hijinks" (https://aryion.com/g4/view/690169). Here we see what happens to the customers that the Siren deems too irritating to let loose on the world again (which honestly is 99.9% of the ones she deals with - you really, really don't want her to "manage" your complaint.) In most places, that jar's a joke, but not at her cafe. She figures that clams have the right idea, and irritants are much better once they've been turned into pearly gems, so that's what her body's busy doing to the day's set of annoying customers. Sorry, Karen, you really shouldn't have insisted on seeing the manager.

If you want Sinner to draw something for you, I recommend checking out his Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/TheGoodSinner/

Damn. Now, I can't help but want to imagine if all those 'gems' are still sentient, and trapped in a material form. And on top of that, some 'key' gems even being worn like jewelry, no doubt. Or if possibly/hypothetically amoral, potentially used as a catalyst for some sort of advanced magical ritual, as a sacrificed component...

And in another lens, I'm almost equally tempted to imagine what she'd do to a very nice, willing customer, that she decides to 'keep'? Would they be possibly transformed into Sirens, or absorbed/trapped inside her body, without any hopes of release?

... And third, possible thought of 'gems' being stored deeper inside her, as a possible thought?

Hmm, I like that idea, so yes, we’ll go with the mechanic being that she melts their bodies down into a seed kernal that holds their soul+consciousness and then layers their remains onto that to build up “pearls” that have them trapped and sentient. Mostly asleep if they’re lucky, conscious if they’ve really annoyed her.

As for “Key gems” being worn like jewelry, she certainly has some favorites, but right here we see most of her current collection being set into jewelry. She’s getting dressed up for a date, you see.

As for a willing customer, any of those are possible. She and her GF (the barista) might want a playmate, or a baby.

The only ones in a position to see what secrets her inner depths might hold aren’t going to be able to tell anyone what they’ve found, so that answer will have to wait until I decide to write something with these two. Which gets more likely the more I keep commissioning Sinner to draw pics with them - there’s at least one more forthcoming.

I'd no doubt bet if there 'were' a willing/nice Karen, they'd at least tip for the privilage to be a witness. Let alone, for the possible privilage of being 'romantically' fed/unbirthed. Assuming that a Manager ends up with a 'favorite customer' as a third wheel at best, 'possible adoption/baby' at a predatory mercy.

But honestly, this is probably before I think of what if, there are 'some' treasures that are too precious/'good', for her to just 'break down' into jewelry, or even 'release'. But it'd probably be an 'after glow', sort of feeling on absorbed souls/feelings... Or heck, possibility of that GF wanting to have a baby with them.

I think I’ll even go with the process being reversable, but a lot more work to regrow them once they’ve been pearled. And they’re at the mercy of whoever’s womb they’re regrowing in as far as just what they come out as. Which makes for some interesting scenarios if pearls get into unsuspecting people’s hands - or rather into their nether regions.

And no doubt that's before I can no doubt, imagine the 'prey' being absorbed/digested, likely resulting in the person who swallowed that 'pearl', getting some passive case of possible Soul absorption, "nourishment" or deja vu of a damned Karen no doubt. Either way, it'd probably be if thinking on an 'alternative' to pearls? Possible "adopted" (good) "Karens", likely still stuck/'waiting', until the manager is ready for children, possibly?

this raise one question , does she keep them forever

Honestly, I haven’t decided yet. Certainly a while, but possibly not forever.

Honestly, I'd bet if not forever. It'd likely either be preserved (if 'nice'.) Or likely eventually. Either 'fades', is used in some ritual sacrifice as an offering... Or just, ate/digested like candy? (Soul vore wise.)

But hunch wise, it'd likely lead to two 'end' scenarios. Of either 'burnt/sacrificed' to some unspecified oblivion. Or fully integrated/absorbed, sort of spiritual 'nourishment', being a better 'state' than possible 'awake' torment.

Or option 3... Possibly an 'egg' instead, that only needs fertilizing... If, she bothers fertilizing them. Instead of say; possibly eating them like an egg sandwitch? (Or alternately, implant/have them incubated in her girlfriend eventually?)

This particular Siren is more on the "nice" side than she is cruel, so sacrificing or eating them isn't particularly likely.

I'd say their overall fate depends on just what she learns about them once they're inside her, since anything that lets you distill someone down to their soul should let you learn a lot about them. The ones who are generally kind but were just having a bad day might even get let out at closing time, with just a lesson in manners (possibly with emphasis if they got to witness someone deemed less worthy being "pearled" while they were in there.)

The ones who turn out to be less kind, especially who routinely treat service workers poorly, are going to be pearls for a while. The collection here is mostly that group, and some of them have been in her collection for a very long time indeed - possibly even from when she first opened the coffee shop.

The last category would be people who she's found are lashing out more from manifesting a sense of self-loathing than from an actual desire to hurt others or indifference to others. Those are the sort she'd be most likely to give a completely new start to.

Relatedly, I'm definitely going to have to write a story to go with these at some point, and it's clearly going to end up as a workplace romance of some variety. Because I've got one more commission from Sinner in the pipeline (of the two of them dressed up and leaving work to go on a date, as a sequel to this one). And while waiting for that to be finished, I ended up scripting out three more for if I can get commission slots from Sinner - a happy post-date scene, one with the Siren proposing to her GF, and a wedding scene, with the GF looking pregnant. Which means at least one of the pearls she's stored is getting a new start as their baby.

Oh so more of a "time out" than "time's up"?

Yeah, I think that’s where I’m coming down on with this one.
